• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I admit defeat - I now understand how dealers might charge $7-800.00 for a spark plug change!

This only had around 12K when the recall was done. And my Washington Spyder has only 4100 miles and gets the recall done in June.

When having the transmission output shaft recall done, if you are anywhere near the 30K mark, have them install plugs while the engine is out.

Does anybody use a GPS Tracking device for monitoring their Spyder's location?

I have a bunch of these little alarms. They give a warning chirp before fully going off. I had a couple in my SxS, on Spyders, on bicycles, storage box on trailer, under the pickup bed cover on and on...

My first thousand miles on the Spyder

I will be 82 in June and am looking forward to making my latest 2018 RT "mine" (tires, sway bar, LEDs, mounts from electronics etc) when I see it in person for the first time when I get back to Washington for the summer. I have AO related peripheral neuropathy in both feet so a trike was the...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Used it to collect around 100 grass hoppers on a 150 mile ride. Gold Canyon to Globe to Winkelman to Superior and back to Gold Canyon AZ. Radiator screens where both almost blocked with suicidal grass hoppers.

Trying to adapt a Spyder to custom 3-wheeler - any help appreciated?

What do you think it will weigh? The 998 motor is a high strung race horse vs the 1330 which is a power house quarter horse.

Trying to adapt a Spyder to custom 3-wheeler - any help appreciated?

AI Overview The Suzuki Hayabusa (1300cc/1340cc) and Honda CBR1000RR are top choices for 4-cylinder engine swaps, offering immense power-to-weight ratios, high reliability, and massive aftermarket support. These inline-four engines thrive in lightweight cars, microcars, and custom sand rails...

My Spyder is on the way!

Taking the Can Am sponsored training class is a good idea, even if one's State does not require it. I took it in Arizona and Washington State would not accept it, so I took it again in Washington. Washington's included side cars and Arizona's did not, so they were slightly different courses.

Trying to adapt a Spyder to custom 3-wheeler - any help appreciated?

And the Spyder steering column/sensor is part of that system. OP might be better off just installing a niece smooth 3 or 4 cylinder motor cycle engine.

Trying to adapt a Spyder to custom 3-wheeler - any help appreciated?

HD sway bar will help with that.

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer set up for our Can Am Spyder S2S

@DOR55, it is a Primo UT6x12. I bought a tri-fold ramp and drilled out the hinge rivets. I was using an insert with a few inches of drop, then recently I installed the F150 reverse leveling shackles which lower the rear of the truck, so got another insert with less drop. I made up pins out of...

Can I unplug the parking brake module - need micro switch part#

Just take your new switch when you get it to ACE and find the screws and lock nuts.

Trying to adapt a Spyder to custom 3-wheeler - any help appreciated?

If I was going to do that project I would do it with the 1330 Ace motor and 6 speed tranny.

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Tire weight ratings are base on ply ratings/inflation table and max speed rating. If lowering the inflation creates lower capacity, lower max speed increases capacity. There is no issue with car tires when inflation is decreased to account for the lighter load. Driving over a piece of white...

Tires rated worst and best. Two tires commonly used on Spyder's are noted

"Quality tires that fit the Spyder in the original size are just about extinct." Another reason why I do not want the latest gen Spyder RT with less tire clearance to front fenders.
