• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Need help with fault codes - C1290, P0562, U0122, U0259, UE30C, and U3001

As stated, I would resolve the Low System Voltage indicated by P0562, then reassess... I looked up the others and they relate to lost communications for various electronic components. Again, sort out the low voltage issues (Battery or Alternator) and I bet they all clear....

The most dangerous place on earth for me.

This is a BIG one! I would be the squeaky wheel here!! Even with the automated leg stimulators I had when in the hospital, I got a DVT! Also, don't get freaked out, but, you will experience muscle atrophy. It will be a shock when you attempt to use your legs and start walking and they don't work...

Sorry to hear about your misfortune! I can say I have literally felt your pain.... Mine was motorcycle related but same debilitating outcome. I wish you the best and hopefully a better long term outcome than mine! I am 6 years down the road and there are a LOT of things I still can no longer...

Are VooDoo mufflers really that loud?

Yeah, there are a bunch of baffles out there... I used the QQ Thunder and a honeycomb unit that I got from Rickey @ RLS when I put his mid-pipe in.... But it will still be pretty loud as those are pretty much straight thru!! I am not using one, I have the Akra SS....

    Riders Etiquette, "The Salute"

I came from 2 wheels and still wave the same way as when I was on them, level or lower, 2 fingers or the whole hand and usually fairly quickly (as I'm usually moving along at a rather rapid clip)... I wear high protection gloves so getting separation in the fingers is minimal, I doubt they can...

How many miles is average for brake pads?

This is gonna vary for every rider out there.... Someone who travels the freeways goes forever and someone who canyon carves may only get 10-15K on them... I hated the stock pads so they got nixed early on.. I second the recommendation for EBC's.... Though with all backroads strafing, I wore...

Best seats - are Russell Day Long seats REALLY that good?

My wingman had a Russell for the longest time, but switched away to Seth's seat! He said the Russell was hard and unforgiving on less than smooth roads. Something about the steel insert for bracing in them, FWIW.... I had my stock seat redone by Seth and after some back and forth on the angles...

What would cause a torn clutch drum? RSS V-Twin SE5

And are we sure she is using a proper "motorcycle wet clutch" type oil in it? If not, this will cause the "chatter" previously mentioned and if left unchecked.... Also, the 990's need to avoid anything with the SL (??) rating in the oil IIRC....

1330cc Momentary over heating shown on gauge - any ideas?

There is a bleeder screw on the front of the engine block on the right side, below and forward of the water pump. It is very hard to see but I attach a clear hose to it, run it to a "catch can", open it, run the engine while adding remaining initial-fill coolant at the res and when there is no...
