• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3-T air suspension - what's it do & how does it work?

Pete is correct on this one, it is an external air bag, not an air shock. Although, the function is to increase load carrying capacity of said vehicle. Whether our Spyders or a pickup, both of which have been mentioned in this thread. Ride level affects: steering geometry (due to the bump-steer...

F3-T air suspension - what's it do & how does it work?

The F3-T has the same rear suspension as the limited, save for the L has an air pump and a level sensor to automatically adjust the air pressure. Essentially it is an air shock: the air is the extra "spring" to carry more payload; no change in damping occurs. All vehicles have a weight limit...

In need of special passenger floorboards for 2020 F3

For those inseam-challenged legs, think '70s and platform shoes. Plus when she get's off the Spyder she be tall enough to look you in the eye ;) Seriously, good luck with getting the fit she needs to make the ride pleasant: that certainly allows for more miles and smiles! Wayne

    Laser Alignment for Toe Issue

Check out Thornoli's in Houston for future alignment needs. I see that your sig includes an F3-L, which should have the automatic leveling air suspension in the rear. Your initial description of the handling indicates not enough toe-in. On our 2018 F3-L the rear leveling needed to be reset. My...

    2018 F3-T shifting disaster

It pays to explore options. CSP is a good source although I've found them to not necessarily be lower in cost than my local dealer when factoring in shipping costs. I live west of DFW and there is a BRP DC in Dallas. I've gotten better pricing and quicker service IF the part is in stock at the...

Front sprocket blocked - how to remove?

Buon Giorno! If there is "rust" then there is wear in the splines of the sprocket. The splines on the shaft are narrower than the width of the sprocket: that will result in a narrow web of unworn spline on the very inside of the sprocket that must be aligned with the shaft splines to get it off...

After advice on which covered trailer for hauling Spyder?

We have used a 7' wide for many years: when we first bought an enclosed trailer, the 6' wide were really tight getting through the door and didn't allow for walking and maneuvering around the front end when in the trailer. The 7' wide would allow to move around the front end while loaded: nice...

Zumo 660 too old to update? Help?!

Just updated one of my 660 Garmins two days ago. No issues. I don't know the exact year of mfg for this one, a Can-Am unit. Used Garmin Express software for the connection. My other two are: a H-D branded unit from 2010 and a Can-Am unit from 2014. The 2010 unit was last updated in Nov, 2021...

How would you rate your Spyder Dealer?

Caswell Cycles, Mora, MN: Although they were 90 miles from us, they were head-and-shoulders above any of the dealers in the Minneapolis/St Paul metro area, well worth the drive. Not a large, flashy building. Good people and fair pricing. The owners and staff are also riders: they ride with their...

New White Pulley fitted on 2015 F3-S - already has red dust!

Seems to me Kenny Butler (and maybe others, but Kenny had posted it a while back) was using a Loc-Tite process that was, more or less, used their product to fill in the gaps and "bond" the pulley to the shaft. I wonder how those repairs are lasting? We've had/have 4 F3 models over the years. An...

Any idea of the F3's Wade depth?

I've gone to about 10"/25cm...not because I planned. The low water crossing, a.k.a. Texas Crossing, had some pot holes and washouts. One of the front wheels dropped in one and the back end kept going, swinging wide as the F3 pivoted around the dropped wheel. In the end, all was well. Except my...

    CB Question for 2021 F3-T

F3-S, so a little different windshield mounting. I made a clip on adapter for a 1" RAM ball mount system. Wired the PTT and headset out to the left handlebar. Hardwire connection to helmet speakers. The bigger issue is to use an external NGP antenna and tune the SWR. Otherwise range will be very...

Heated OEM grips on F3 LTD do just barely - anyone replaced with A/mkt?

The F3 models are single heat and at the low end of "heated grip" spectrum. I've had heated grips on my H-D models that were much better/hotter than those available for the F3.

Is your spyder shaking, start with the belt tensioner. Now on to Tires!

I run the belts on our F3 models 140-160# on the Krikit without using a tensioner, with the wheel on the ground. A loaded suspension (i.e., wheel on the ground) will increase belt tension: once you know the difference, you can set it raised off the ground. Check the tension in multiple places...

Another one bytes the dust... Front Sprocket Failure - Red Dust!

SpyderDeb's 2018 F3-l failed b4 21K miles, while my 2015 F3-S was in excellent shape yet at over 32K miles (I do not baby it). One of the differences, aside from the year of manufacture, was that the F3-L pulled a trailer for ~25% miles. I bought a 2018 F3-T with very low miles: it was looking...

HowTo: Easy method to slide rear tire in RV or on garage floor

Here's another real McGyver on moving the back end of our Spyders around in an RV garage with rubber floor; also works on cement. It's easy to get the front end in place when loading our Spyders in a trailer or RV garage, but then the rear wheel often needs to be moved side-to-side for that...

Some of us prefer a bit of style over a Model T running board.

    Longer/bigger Floorboards for 2021 F3 Limited?

Check out Lamonster Garage foot bosrds. Just installed the big ones on my F3-T w/highway pegs (it had LG mini foot boards on it). We have had factory boards since 2015 on other F3 models. These are twice as long, overall, as the factory boards. Highway pegs have 3 positions available: these are...
