• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Clutch won't disengage completely, difficult getting Neutral, clunks into 1st, and creeps - anyone else? What did you do? Fixes?

It looks as though the OP, @golfR, never got back here with ANY additional info on his dilemma. His post was 17 months ago.

Are Spyders becoming popular, or not?

My take is that we have a commodity that is valuable in the form of enjoyment. All things pass, but with the Spyder coming to it's 20th Anniversary, in 2027, so let's hope it continues on. There is STILL nothing else like it on the road.

Baja Ron sway bar installation completed... finally.

Yes indeed! In 2019, Ron's Sway Bar was my first modification on my 2018 F3, and it works wonders. My second addition was Spyderpops BumpSkid skid, and it has proved itself to be very worthy on that low clearance.

F3's Plastic panel cracked - anyone else/any ideas how? Anyone who has removed this panel have any advice?

You might consider 3M Clear Paint Protection vinyl. Over the years, I've used it wear points on the paint of my 2818 F3 Limited and it works VERY well. Buy the smallest size, and you'll still have lots left over for other projects on or off your Spyder.

    The 'Full Synthetic' Myth Exposed

No matter what oil I've used in ANY vehicle I own, or have owned, I change oil and filter at, or around, 3,000 miles. Wasteful? Possibly, but that's my way of protecting engines.

Anybody else rounded off the hex Oil filter cap? Any tips to remove?

I thought I'd add to this discussion with a photo of the Flex Head 3/8" drive ratchet on a six point 36mm socket that I use when removing the oil filter cap. I don't reposition the brake fluid reservoir, as the Flex Head makes the task a bit easier to accomplish. Yes, a bit of lube on the cap...

I admit defeat - I now understand how dealers might charge $7-800.00 for a spark plug change!

I did exactly that last March. Had the technician change the fuel filter also. Here's a photo of how dismantled my F3L was during surgery for the output shaft recall. In the upper right of photo, the engine is sitting on a shop bench. I got to keep the shaft too. -

Has anyone swapped the stock mirrors for handle bar mounted mirrors?

Yes, I have, on my 2018 F3L, but just mirrors. No turn signals involved. Lamonsters Big Eye Mirrors. I can easily see what's behind me.

Need HELP?! My Spyder is running Hot at High Speeds?

    * Here's what I do in an attempt to keep my radiators free of crud of my F3, and it works. * I wrap the grill with black nylon screening. * The screen is retained on the back side of the grill with Gorilla tape. * I've never had a problem with the screen affecting coolant temperature in the 7...
