• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Sena Headsets and SR10 BT module

We are in the process of changing from our G9's to Sena SMH10 helmet radios and I am considering adding one of the SR10's so I can use my HT while I'm out. I'd like to hear from any of you who have worked with this combination. Pros and cons. Thanks, ride and ride safe, Curt

    Schuberth C3 Users

My search here yielded a few older threads and the reviews that I've found so far have been a few years old. After her accident Linda is in the market for a new helmet. We were over at Iron Pony in Columbus over the weekend and she really liked the looks of the C3. With the bum wing she wasn't...

Helmets and all that gear work

Five of us started out for a leisurely ride through the local countryside and lunch at a favorite biker spot down along the Little Miami River. About 20 minutes in things went to hell in a hand cart or maybe it was a sidecar. Sitting here right now I know for certain that the day has ended...

A really neat graphic from another list

I'm hoping that maybe the owner of a yellow RS is on the list. Over on Soviet Steeds a gal that went to the Dream Ride in Connecticut posted a picture of a yellow RS with a spider on the frunk lid. I can't tell from the picture if it's painted or a "decal", but what I like about it is it looks...

To ride or not to ride

Silly question and I pretty much know how I'm leaning. When Linda and I finished the Ural National Rally and parked the machines Saturday night the "Bug" had 6498 miles showing on the "clock" that's about 3300 since the oil and filter change I did before the Rolling Thunder trip. He now has the...

Service Interval - one more time

For me anyway. Okay I searched on both 4600 and service interval and as I'm able to wrap my head around it after the oil change that includes the new larger filter the interval goes from 3000 miles to 4600 miles. I did the change just before my trip to DC in May at a little over 3500 miles so my...

A question or 2 about the Spyderpops block off plate and the lowerpans

I'm trying to understand the block off plate. Does it just work on the right side? and is there anything to be gained by removing both side lower pans(?) without the block off plate installed? Thanks. Ride safe,

    Scala G9 Problem

Any of you have G9's with an occasional cut out? Yesterday Linda and I were out and had the helmets in out trunks with the radios shut off while we toured the county fair. Got ready to leave turned the radios on, got all the usual jabber including the "rider a connected" hit the "A" button on my...

    Painting a Piggybacker XL trailer?

Wondering if any of you that have this or a similar trailer with the plastic cargo box have painted it to match you Spyder. What sort of prep did you do and where did you get your paint? TIA Ride safe,

The Piggybacker is finally on the road

Finally figured out the wiring and got the trailer out for a test run today. Tag on the BRP cable said 2 of the wires were right flasher and left flasher (Canadian for not turn signal evidently). Once I remembered that brakes and turn signals occupy the same wires I have all the required lights...

Anybody doing the Bikes, Bridges and Blues in Eaton Saturday?

Just wondering if I'll see any other Spyders there. The weather is supposed to be good 80 and partly cloudy. The better half is riding her Ural and we figure to make a day of it. Ride safe,

    Changing signature picture

I want to update my states visited map and it says I can delete to current one while it's in use. So how do I change it for the new one?

A Question for California Spyder Riders

I was out at the wife's Ural dealer today and met a gentleman and his wife who were there picking up a new Ural Gear UP. He said that he had heard that California requires a separate endorsement for three wheels and that it didn't mater what your home state's requirement are you had to have it...

    Marvel Mystry Oil

I've been reading through several of the fuel and oil threads and I've found that it doesn't seem to mater which bike it is almost any brand has its champions and its detractors about evenly split. Although I've noticed sometime if you ask 2 people you can get 3 answers ;). As some of you may...

3 Wheels left, but a new set arriving soon

No, Spydee is still here. Wife person had a Piagio MP3-500 that she was never comfortable on, sooooooo, Monday she traded it in on a 2013 Ural Tourist. She's wanted a sidecar rig since she was 14 (a long long long time back:D). We pick it up Friday and I'm informed that I will at least get to...

    Got my trailer

Decided after some reading on here to go with the Piggy Backer XL. It should be plenty big enough for our needs. Anyway order it on Sunday evening and had it in the back of my pick up on Thursday afternoon. Chris and it got together Friday and in about 3 hours got it assembled. Still need to do...

    Additional Cargo Capacity

I'm currently looking into gaining some addition carrying capacity on my 2012RT-S. Would like opinions on some options I've come up with. 1) A trailer - even looking at some of the smaller aluminum units (1500 range) by the time you add the hitch etc this is decidedly the high priced spread...

    Mapping Application

Does anybody know of an application (free would be nice) that will allow you to generate a ride map by typing in intersections? I've got a book of Ohio rides and I'd like to be able to generate something like a triptic from the description of the ride in the book. I have Street Atlas USA but if...
