• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

'19 F3S won't manually down shift or select reverse - heat related maybe? Ideas?

Lately my 2019 F3S will not down shift manually or go into reverse sometimes. I'll ride later and it works perfectly. I took it to my dealer and of course they could not duplicate the issue. So I drove it home and it was fine, then yesterday it would not manually down shift again and I couldn't...

What do you think of this Ultimate Spyder Cup holder?

I've been away for a while, life happens! But I still love my Spyder F3S! When I purchased it, the dealer gave me a nice size Yeti as a bonus for my purchase. However, the cup holder I had wouldn't accommodate this size Yeti. So, I purchased a 3D printer, designed one, and printed it (the Black...

    Kelly blue book value

With the new F3 coming out I was interested in seeing what my STS-SE5 might get me in a trade in or selling outright. KBB didn't list SE5, but for the STS-SM5 it said I would get a "whopping" $10,900. Now add back the SE5 and I have to think that would be at least $13,000. Selling outright was a...

    JT's air filter

I just had my dealer put on JT's air filter when he did my 4500 mile service. I was surprised at the complexity and size of the air box/resonater that came out. Now it's such a simple system. Can someone enlighten me to the thought process behind what was there verses what's there now? By the...

I finally did it! Bajaron's sway bar!

I just installed Bajaron's sway bar and there's definitely a difference, much flatter and more stable. But what a task to install it. Getting it up the required height wasn't so bad. Plus after I got it up there with a jack I put enough cement blocks under the tires to make sure it stayed up...

Rolo Alignment in Bay City Michigan

I just had my STS laser aligned at 5PYD3R's Rolo event in Bay City today and not only did it improve steering I made some new friends. The weather held out, the burgers were great and Jordan's family was very friendly and accomodating. Based on most suggestions' I think a new sway bar may have...

    Oil check confusion

I got another chance to take my:spyder2:out yesterday for a couple of hours. I only have a couple thousand miles on it, but when I got home I thought since its at the normal operating temperature I'd check the oil level. So I stopped it pulled the panel, restarted, let it run for 30 seconds...

    Owner website

This may be a case of, "one of the first things to go is...." but I could have sworn that after I purchased my Spyder, last August only, that I went to an Owner's website and entered my VIN and registered it. There was information about other owners' in my state as well as other states and there...

    RT passenger grab bar

I'm looking for a RT passenger grab bar. It could be left or right and be damaged, used, etc. If anyone knows of one or point me in a direction to find one, it would be appreciated. Thanks I originally posted this in the "for Sale" section but I hope to have better response here.

    Curiosity

Has anyone heard any good rumors regarding a future Spyder competitor coming to market? I can't believe the Japanese haven't jumped on it big time? It would be so good for us and the market in general. IMHO

    Sena SMH5

I just go the Sena SMH5 and I'm quite impressed. It was easy to install and it's loud and clear. Music sounds good too. The only problem is that now I'll actually be able to take phone calls while trying to get lost on my :spyder2:. :shemademe_smilie:

Question for the more experienced Spyder owners.

I was on the freeway today going 70 mph in 5th on my STS-SE5. I accelerated at that point to 85 mph. There was a shutter at about 78/79 mph and it went away at 80 mph. It did it everytime I accelerated quickly to the mid 80's from 70 mph. If I slowly accelerated to the mid 80's it didn't...

    picture from 2009 Alaska trip

I noticed in the pictures that the red and silver RS's have a small black box thing behind the steering wheel center and in front of the driver. What is that? I'm assuming its a storage unit of sort but is it a standard BRP accessory or an aftermarket product only for RS/GS's? Thanks.

    installing Garmin Nav unit

I'm going to install a nav unit soon and see the Zuma series mentioned here a lot. I went to the Garmin site and it shows the Zuma series listed for motorcycles and Nuvi listed for Automotive and was wondering why I can't use a Nuvi series model instead. They are a lot cheaper and as far as I'm...

    long trips on ST's

How many ST's are out there that have taken long trips with out mechanical issues due to heat? There is a lot of negative "stuff" on this site regarding the ST's. I don't want to be Pollyanna here but if there are some success stories out there that bolster the ST's I'd love to hear them. Mine's...
