• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Cancelling a B.E.S.T. Warranty

I have a potential buyer for my Spyder, but they are not interested in the three year extended warranty that I have. The manufacturers warranty is still good until June 15, 2017, so the extended warranty hasn't even kicked in yet. Is it possible to cancel it and get my money back? I tried...

Changed headlight lamps on my RT...... thank you PMK!

One of my headlight lamps expired (25,830 miles). Since it's such a tedious affair, I thought it best to change both lamps while I'm in there. Thanks PMK for all your great advice over on the Spyder technical forum. I'm especially grateful that you pointed out the error in the users manual...

    Another Excellent Service Review

As reported in a previous thread (http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?97159-I-m-now-in-the-club), a week ago I discovered that there was a leak in my airbag, and the compressor had burned itself out trying to inflate it. I called RideNow in Chandler, AZ to see when I could get in...

    I'm now in the club...

After 22,000 + problem free miles on my 2015 RT, I finally had a failure. My air ride suspension bag apparently had sprung a leak, and while I was unaware of the problem, my compressor burned itself out trying to pump it back up. My Spyder is now in the shop awaiting the parts needed to fix...

    Adding to Switch Cluster

I bought this dual USB port for the switch cluster quite some time ago but never got around to installing it. I'm going to tackle it in the next few days. I realize I will have to remove the side panels. Will I need to remove the glove box to get under the cluster? What would be the best method...

Squared Away! With a little help from my friends...

I met Joe and Ann Meyer (Squared Away) for the first time a couple months ago when they were here in Phoenix doing laser alignments. It took me about five minutes to know that these are two people that I could consider to be friends, and I don't allow very many people into my close circle of...

    Brake Fluid Reservoirs

I just changed my brake pads, and had to syringe some of the brake fluid out of the reservoirs (I had added a little when the pads were thin and the levels went down). Does anybody besides me find it weird that the fore reservoir is for the rear brake, and the aft reservoir is for the front...

    Loose reflectors on front fenders

The reflectors on my front fenders are loose. I'm guessing they're attached with nuts and bolts, but I cant get behind the fender to tighten them up. My solution to get under the fender with a wrench appears to be either remove the fenders, or remove the wheels. Has anyone ever had to tighten...

Parts left over after oil change

I finished my oil change, and everything seems to be ok. But I found these parts left over afterwards. Just kidding. I replaced the OEM plugs with the Dimple Magnetic Plugs. Sorry, I get silly after a couple glasses of wine :dg2: :shemademe_smilie: Pam

    My Baby's first Birthday

On June 3rd 2015, I traded my Victory Vision for the 2015 Spyder RT. I have enjoyed a year of pleasureable riding, along with 20,825 carefree and problem free miles. I know some others have endured issues with DESS and other things, so I feel fortunate to not have had any difficulties. For...

    Rivco Customer Service Came Through

This horror story has a happy ending Last week I ordered the Flag Holders from Rivco. I wanted to have them in time for a couple of American Legion Riders events that I was attending for Memorial Day weekend, so I shelled out the extra bucks for three day delivery. Friday came along, and the...

    What is this instument for?

I received my magnetic oil drain plugs from Dimple Plugs, and the package included a gift of this handy little metric ruler. However, I've never seen anything like this "sawtooth" part on the top. Does anyone know what this is used for? :dontknow: Thanks, Pam

    Thank you Squared Away

This weekend, Joe and Ann of Squared Away visited the Phoenix area and set up shop in the garage of a Spyder owner and member of Spyder Riders of America - Superstitions Chapter (Thank you Jack). Today, I finally got to meet Joe and Ann in person, and can attest that they are two very lovely...

    Ride-On Formula

I inadvertantly ordered the ATV formula Ride-On when I thought I was ordering the automobile formula. In the past I always used the motorcycle formula on my bikes, but this is for the new rear tire that I'm installing on the Spyder next week, so I thought I would order the automobile formula...
