• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Corbin Trunkbox

I sent them an email inquiry but have not heard back yet. Some of you are considerable more familiar with Corbin products than others due to your close proximity to their facility and personal/professional relationships with their staff. Has anyone heard if their yet-to-be-released Trunkbox...

    Batteryminder

Can anyone recommend a reliable (but not outrageously expensive) batteryminder? Has anyone used a solar-powered batteryminder (my garage is 30' from the house with no power so solar might be the way to go). Thanx, Ken

Found a small shiny spring under my Spyder

It was on the garage floor directly under the middle of the bike. It's about 5/8" long, comprised of about 8 coils, nice shiny metal (not painted), fairly easily compressable, and an ID about the size of a #12 machine screw. There's nothing else "new" in my garage so I'm 99% sure it fell from...

    Bushtec Hitch and Corbin Saddlebags

Does that combination work? Judging from the "look" of the Bushtec hitch, it appears to partially occupy the same space as the Corbin bags.

    Powder Coated Corbin Brackets

Fiberglass work is great. Brackets are functional. Bracket painting is deplorable. I called them to ask if they had a powder coating option. They do not. So when my saddlebags arrived I found bare spots on the brackets, wet paint, and fingerprints imbedded here and there. Took it to a...

Drilling a hole in the ignition key

Has anyone done it. Seems like a strange question but better safe than sorry. I don't like not being able to chain my ignition key with other related keys (Corbin saddle bag, Corbin passenger saddle, office key, etc). I don't think there are any "electronics" hidden under the rubber head of...

    SpYder Assistance List

That's certainly not the best name for it but I needed something to get this thread started. When I owned my Honda Goldwing, I was a member of the GWRRA (GoldWingRoadRider'sAssociation) which included a nicely published magazine. The club solicited names, addresses, and phone numbers of those...

    What's the SpyderRyder Secret?

Got my SpyderRyder owner's card and member number. Logged on to SpyderLovers.com about 6 weeks ago and inputted all my info so that my name & location would appear on their SpyderRyder map. Have re-visited the site numerous times since then and I still show up missing on the map. Contacted them...

    Moisture Behind Instrument Glass

Cleaned up my Spyder this past weekend. Very, very gentle with the hose and I intentionally tried to avoid any spraying of water (direct or otherwise) in the vicinity of the instrument cluster. But when I took it for a ride afterward, I could see water droplets clinging to the inside of the...

    Low 5 For Corbin

I truly like the look of Corbin's products. And except for the amateurish finish on their bracketry, I think their quality is top notch. But their commitment to delivering when they say they will is virtually non-existent ... at least in my case. When pushed (via phone calls or emails), they'll...

BRP's Speaks Out On Some Common Spyder Problems

Had my 1,000 km service appointment yesterday at my Spyder dealer. Three of the problems I was having are shared with many of you so I figured I'd pass along the BRP responses. My mechanic discussed each of these problems with the BRP tech rep (or whatever they're called) and BRP's responses...

    Squeaks Up Front

Less than 600 miles on my Spyder and the squeaking from the front end gets worse by the day. Every time there's a change in bike attitude, the front end (suspension I suspect) eeks out a handful of annoying high-pitched squeaks. Even sitting still, all you have to do is rock it back and forth...

CalSci Windshield Not Compatible with Can-Am Riser Block

The Can-Am Spyder (factory accessory) 1" riser block (which is actually a half inch upward and a half inch aft repositioning of the handlebars) is incompatible with the (marvelous) CalSci windshields. Your clutch lever (in the extended position) will contact the left edge of the windshield a...

    KewlMetal Mirror Extensions

Installed my KewlMetal mirror extensions last night. It was a relative snap. You do, however, have to really torque down on the screw to prevent unwanted mirror movement from wind force, vibration, etc. (tighten it until it smokes then back off 1/4 turn). There is some mirror vibration which is...

    Direct Line Parts

Why is Direct Line Parts listed on spyderlovers.com as a Spyder Vendor? When I click on their logo, the website to which I'm taken (directlineparts.com) shows absolutely no indication of any Spyder parts no matter where on that website I go (click).
