• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    All alarms are off...!!!

It has been some time since I last posted in the forum. Due to work and moving from one place to another, I have not been able to ride my 2009 SE5 for a long time. Lately I have installed a new battery and kept it fine with a Battery Tender. About 10 days ago I decided to ride the Spyder, but...

    Brake systems with mineral oils...?

I wonder if I can refill the containers, or replace the original brake fluid in my 2009 SE5, using Motul's RBF 600 Racing Brake Fluid, because here in the tropics temperatures are high all year long. But the Motul's bottle indicates " Not suitable for vehicles with mineral oil systems"... I am...

    Bent lower shock-absorber mount (rear)

Last night I rode my 2009 SE5 over a street manhole without cover in a dark area of the street (not unusual in this country...) When I saw it it, I swerved and I went over it in between the front wheels, but it was too late to avoid the rear wheel from taking the brunt hit. Needless to say, I...

    Flooded Spyder

I ride a 2009 SE5, with Hindle exhaust, KewlMetal intake, and some other mods. Went to a motorbike event this past week-end, some 350 Km. away from home. During the nights, my Spyder was parked uncovered in the hotel parking-lot, next to the main building. One night a huge downpour that lasted...

    Frunk Locked

From a Facebook Spyder guy I have heard about a problem he has with the "frunk" lock cable. He wants to know how to replace it, but I guess that the real question may be: How do I open the frunk if the cable broke...? :yikes: Anybody's guess...? Saludos, Pilo

    Belt Tension Bulletin

It's been a while since I checked the forum. I wonder where are now located the BRP service bulletins that were originally posted at the bottom of the main page. I am looking for the Belt Tension Revision Bulletin. Thanks, Pilo

Friends: Freddie Fornaso, a biker from Argentina, is riding on his beloved HD (Heidi) alone, from Argentina to Alaska. He is actually going thru Mexico. :ohyea: He has just posted a thread in Facebook, asking for help in order to get him hosted (one-night stands) in different places across...

    Backfiring thru the throttle body

Recently installed KewlMetal's Air Filter Kit on my 2009 SE5 (+/- 6K miles, with Hindle) with 3 purposes: 1.- To get rid of the oil-in-the-air-box-syndrome. 2.- To get rid of the original (and enormous) air-box, and thus have complete access to the engine upper sections, including the very...

    Oil-Seal part number (main shaft)

Need to replace my 2009 SE5 main shaft oil-seal, the one that is located behind the front belt-sprocket. Can anybody give me the oil-seal part number...? I have a friend looking for it in the Delray Beach / Boynton Beach / Hypoluxo areas of South-East Florida. My friend will...

    Gasoline filter hose

I think that this issue has been addressed sometime before (by Scotty...?), but could not find it. Yesterday, after doing the canisterectomy to my SE5 I did an inspection in the area to make sure that everything was fine. I found that the gasoline filter's downstream hose was somewhat loose /...

    What are these...?

While doing the first oil change on my SE5, I came across these two 'contraptions' and could not figure out what they were or their function. Anybody wants to guess...? Saludos, Pilo

    Hindle exhaust and gas smell

My brand new SE5 has a Hindle exhaust installed by the dealer. A few days after I bought it I had to relocate abroad, and had it shipped. No BRP dealership in this country, so I am on my own. I am now riding it for the first few miles in traffic, but have not yet been able to open it up on...
