• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rivco Highway mounts

Does anyone have experience with these highway mounts/pegs? I've heard about the Kewlmetal brackets and the potential "link" issues, and I've seen ESI's brackets and heard that they work best for tall riders (I'm not one of them). And I just plain can't afford the ISCI's. Any insight and...

    Tourmaster Saddlebags

Hello again wise Spyderlovers, I've been looking for soft saddlebags and was about to go with the Nelson Riggs CL 950's, but wasn't really sold on them. This past week, I saw the Tourmaster Cruiser III Slant saddlebags and thought they might look great on the Spyder. Unfortunately, I was on a...

    RS Seat Cover Installation?

I just picked up a BRP seat cover on E-Bay (great deal - waiting for it to arrive) and was wondering how much of a PITA it is to install.....I have the BRP backrest installed and have never attempted to remove the seat. Is removing the seat even necessary? I've searched the forums, but couldn't...

    Noisy Brake Question....

Fired up the Spyder today for the first ride of the spring:yes:.....started right up and purred right away. Knowing the issues people have had with brake noise, I released the parking brake and rolled it back a forth for a few feet. There was an awful squeal coming from the back wheel - not...

Anyone have the BRP seat cover?

I think the stock seat is pretty comfortable, but was thinking about adding the seat cover for a better look. I'd love feedback from anyone who has it on their :spyder:. Was it a PITA to install? Has it held up, or has it stretched/wrinkled over time? Do you like the look of it installed? Any...

    Robobrackets and Givi shield

I recently switched to the Givi shield from the BRP sport touring shield for some additional wind protection and I really liked the look of the shield. However, at highway speeds, I still get too much noise and some turbulence at the top of my helmet. I only need a few inches of additional wind...

    Newbie Question re: Purge Valve

I've been seeing threads about the purge valve being the potential cause of the gas smell and even the fires (I know this isn't confirmed). I've also come to understand that the valve is essentially a selenoid that opens and closes at some RPM level to vent something - guessing gas fumes but...

First Ride and a heat question......

Finally, after a great deal of help and advice from the members of this forum, I'm the proud owner of a :spyder:!!!!! :2thumbs: I picked up my yellow 08 SE5 on Saturday and I can honestly say it's even more fun than I imagined. I'm disappointed that I've only got 100 miles on her so far (work...

    09 vs 08?

Hi all, I've been researching a :spyder: for quite a while (thanks mostly to this site), and decided it's finally time to make the leap! I'm talking to a couple of dealers in the area and one dealer is telling me the 08 SE5 is the identical bike to the 09 SE5 "except for one digit in the...
