• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Need clarification on disconnecting the analog temp gauge - will that bring up the digital gauge?

Hi all! I have read a few threads about temp gauge and magnetic mirrors and now I want to make sure I have understood this solution. If I disconnect the analog temp gauge it will appear on the digital screen? I could of course go and disconnect it and try, but if I can get confirmation in here...

This Helmsman fell asleep at the helm!

Containership hit land doing about 15 knots and almost hit a house here in Norway. As a crane operator (now retired) I handled a lot of units on this ship, but then it had a different name and was owned by another company. I feel sorry for the guy at the helm, and I hope he is not punished too...

Solved - Frunk switch not opening - will replacing the switch help?

I have read several threads and as I understand the switch for the parking brake/frunk is usually failing on the frunk side, while the parking side keeps working. I got the opening solenoid, but nothing happens when I press the switch. Will replacing the switch be the most easy solution? I was...

Some video shots from a roundtrip in the county.

Yesterday's weather was too good for just sitting inside watching the reruns on tv ;) So I decided to take the RT for a spin. You can tag along here: Roundtrip in the county A picture from the "pitstop", needed some shade:

    First ride this spring.

Weather was great and temps on the high end for this time of year. I took my 360 cam with me and recorded some now and then during the ride. I am no film director, but I hope you like the view at least.

    3 days - two hotels - 472 miles and my 2012 RTS

Finally, a couple of days with some blue sky and warm weather, so the wife and I sat down with Google maps and planned a road trip. Decided we would go West first, then head inland for some mountain roads, before setting the course for home. First destination was "Byrkjedals tunet" a group of...

Off to "Blefjell" camping site in Norway on my RTS

My wife took the ferry to Denmark together with a woman she used to work with before retiring, so I decided to take off a couple of days on the Spyder. Booked a small cabin on a campsite and used that as a base for roundtrips in the area. I have never been in that part of Norway before, so I was...

    Iconic aeroplanes!

Drove the Spyder to our local airport today. The local AmCar Norway Club had an event and advertised an airshow as well. I walked around and there were a lot of different cars, new and old. Since I live less than 8km (direct line) from the airport, I hurried home and set my DSLR camera up with a...

Do new brake pads work weakly at first?

Hi friends! I changed all the brake pads today on my 2012 RTS, and after getting the wheels back on the ground, I took a test drive in the neighbourhood. Pedal felt fine, but the old pads stopped the bike better. So my question is, will the brake effect be better after a while, or is there...

Beautiful day for a ride! Just don't get caught speeding in Norway!

I should have stayed home! :cus: Was out enjoying my RTS and the twisty roads, weather was perfect, warm and sunny! Thought I would swing by a "Bikes, cars, and coffee" event that is held at a nice little diner every Wednesday during the riding season. With just 10 minutes left of...

First long ride this season with the 360 camera

I needed to go to pick up my new seat strut at my "local" dealer. My original local dealer gave up on the on road Can Am models and went for Seadoos only. Luckily, there is a Can Am dealer a couple of hours drive west of here and they are awesome, great service, and always friendly and helpful...

Finally, I fixed the Seat release on my RT! Video

I finally took the time to fix the seat release on my RT. The original wire from the key to the seat had rusted/corroded and was totally stuck, so I have been riding a cpl seasons with the lock bolt removed from underneath the seat. Never had anyone try steal gasoline, but I like to have the...

Got my Speedbleeders today! Straight forward install?

Hi all! Got my order from Speed Bleeders today. Just for the calipers, not the ABS pump. I also got the tubing and the bag. Anything to watch out for other than keep area clean while changing bleeders? I reckon there will be some brake fluid spilling out during the job. Ride safely all.

Had to check out this gravel road!

Two friends of mine are riding two wheelers and last time we met they talked about this nice dirtroad they explored. One of them also made a video he shared and today I had to go check it out for myself. They will be surpirced I did it on my Spyder, they tend to underestimate(spellcheck) the...

My headlight plastic is turning white!! Any way to fix this??

Hi friends! My 2012 RTS headlights are turning white, and it seems to be on the inside. Is this from bulb heat only? And is there any way to fix it? From what I could see the headlights reflector and "glass" are glued together?? It looks like it is above the lens and backwards, so there is no...

Video from today's ride to a special mc camp site!

I always wanted to go see what this "tunnel camp site for mc" was all about. Friends of mine have been spending the night there and say it has an awesome view and is perfect if it is raining. So wife and me drove off this morning to see for ourselves. We also got to see "the two houses under the...

Just need confirmation before I use my tools ! Air compressor bypass.

Just did 2796 miles from Norway to Austria and back on my 2012 RT. Second day home my compressor gave up, so kind of luck on the timing. To bypass the compressor, do I just need to disconnect the power on the compressor itself and the hub where all the tubes are connected ? I have marked what I...

My fav tool for limited spaces.

Bought this Beta ratchet when I replaced my RT stock seat with a new comfort seat with backrest. It is perfect for those tight spots that leaves you with just a small amount of handle movement. Get it loose and the just twist the handle for the rest.:2thumbs:
