• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    RECC Quit - 2012 RTS SE5

On my way home from church today and noticed that the up and down buttons to change tracks on my ipod had quit working. I pulled over to sort that failure out, and discovered that my gear selector lever had also quit (no reverse, no shift up). Pulled the key and walked away...came back and...

    Backing Up A Ramp

Thanks to All... ...for your responses. Sounds like I'd be good to go mechanically. The posted concerns about slippery ramp are very real but the ramp is textured and being a fair weather rider, if it's raining "Trypod" won't be out of the garage anyway. Roy - you are probably correct about...

    Backing Up A Ramp

So we're considering the purchase of a class A toy hauler to do some traveling. On the pictured model, it would improve access from the coach if the Spyder was backed into the garage. Any mechanical issues with backing up that incline?

    Passenger Seat Sensor

So my 2012 RT keeps throwing the code for the passenger seat sensor. Dealer has checked wires and jiggled the connector, but it keeps coming back on an intermittent basis. It's not only annoying, but I'm concerned about the VSS working correctly if the sensor is bad. Anyone know the part number...

Sunny and warm in southwest Missouri today!

A great day to ryde, and a great day to start dusting off 'ol "Trypod" in preparation for Spyderfest! Looking forward to seeing the streets of Springfield lined with Spyders and fellow ryders enjoying themselves in the Ozarks.

    Looking for trailer parking

Trailer Parking Look for storage lots in the area you want to leave from. I did this last year during Spyderfest. I explained to them that I'd only need space for the four days, but that I'd pay for a full month. Paid $30 for a one month storage fee for my trailer and put my Spyder in its...

    Ranges?

Lead Mine Shooting Range The only downside is the mile or two of gravel road to get from the west entrance of the CA around to the range on the southeast side. If there's enough interest...I'd be happy to lead a ride up there. Comments: Shooting bench area and adjacent sidewalks are paved with...

    Ranges?

Shooting Range at Lead Mine Conservation Area Its about an hour north...but has unmanned pistol and rifle range...and it's free. It would be a nice ride up and back if you're looking ahead to Spyderfest.

How do I recharge my dead battery?

Chargers, Tenders, etc. O.K. I've gotta ask. I've seen numerous posts on tenders that talk about either using the power outlet in the rear trunk, or attaching leads directly to the battery terminals to plug in to. Is there some reason that connecting the tender to the posts under the seat using...

Last Week In The Black Hills

Yes, did Wall Drug (not so impressed), but skipped the Corn Palace. We ran the Wildlife Loop twice, and Iron Mountain Road about three times. We did Deadwood on Friday so that my wife could get in on all you can eat crab at the Silverado, and really enjoyed the various fruit wines and the food...

    STURGIS 2013

We'll be in the area next week and plan on cruising thru....just so we can "get the t-shirt" and say we've been there. We're to old and "fluffy" to participate in the August bacchanalia. Been "rode hard and put away wet" too many times already.

    Mule vs Lion

The pic is at least 5 years old (maybe more) and at the time it first came out it was alleged that the cat was already dead when they introduced the mule to the carcass. Having raised a few mules, I do know that some mules will chase down dogs and do their best to kill them. So I can only assume...
