• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Is there a BRACKET ?

I generally don't like putting anything on my toys unless it is "OEM" looking. I have over two dozen mods on my ride but at first look you'd think it just rolled off the dealship. My reason is that unless the add-ons can match up to the machine I just paid 20 large for, I am not goin gto throw...

    Brightsides made in China?

I had horse meat. They aren't bad. But then again I knew it was horse meat going down ... not false advertisement like what Aldi did.

    What would happen...if anything?

For 20 large the damn Spyder better not complaint too much. Carry a little momentum (notice the key word "little" and keep straight). You should be on the otherside before you know it. Sensor reads the spin rate of the wheels. If the low point is in the middle and that's where you stopped...

    Brightsides made in China?

You have no idea on the stories I have heard from friends over there. There are many things they will no longer eat or buy because of the quality concerns.

    BATTERY HELP

Mine gets discharged in a few months as well but I have a bunch of stuff hooked directly to a seperate fuse block / battery. I think one time I found the 12V adopter to my GPS was lit in the frunk. So I keep mine trickle charged if I am not going to ride it for a while and over winter. I also...

    Brightsides made in China?

I've been eyeballing these Brightsides for ever and finally broke down to buying them since I will be tearing the bike apart to redo the exaust gaskets and installing the remaining heat shield / air dam. I ordered them (front and back) from Custom Dynamics and only to receive them both labeled...

RS front turn signal replacement (mirror) question

the yellow LED replacement is much brighter. Look in the vendor section for installation instructions. ESI have very good instruction write ups. I seem to remember you may need to do a little bit of wiring (not 100% sure)

    Paypal Question ???

You can request that the seller do a EFT .... a.k.a. send money to private party. Buyer must select that option. I usually won't do it becaause its just plain sending money from one person to another and there is less protection. Also, buyer must use existing funding source (like a checking...

    Replacing Brake Pad Questions

RT is heavier and if ryding two up often, that will wear down the pad quicker as well. Compound that if its two up on RT.

New ways to tax your driving/riding/ryding

Great .... can't travel to the mistress anymore. Guess we will all have to be like the governator and keep the GF at home as a live-in or renter.:roflblack:

How do you wire up the 12 volt outlet in the trunk so it stays hot at all time?

Wire it directly to the battery. Or you can install a fuse block up front (still involving direct wire to the battery) and have selective banks of always hot or switched. I wired mine thru the frame with a wire puller.

Do all SPYDERS squeal when you give them gas?

Depending on the humidity, mine squeeks a bit (at rear wheel belt and flange area) when rolling backwards.:dontknow:

    2011 RS-S Manual - BackOff XP & VSS Fault ...

Spyder's CAN bus is extreamly sensitive to voltage change. Unless the electronics have chips in there to provide proper resistance, it is best not to use them. What works for other bikes will not always work for Spyder.
