• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Vredestein Quatrac 5 tire question

Thanks Mike, I tried to look her up in the member list but didn't see her. Hoping she runs across this.

    Vredestein Quatrac 5 tire question

Thanks everyone. Mike, you are correct... there is no camber adjustment... just wondering if there was a spec. camber measurement from the factory. And there seems to be a little difference between my left and right sides (assuming my garage floor is level)... wondering if that is common. Also...

    Vredestein Quatrac 5 tire question

Thanks for the replies... I'll go with the 165/60's Mike, what kind of alignment problem would cause both tires to wear on the outside edges? I have the Baja Ron shock adjusters and was wondering if the setting had anything to do with the tire wear. I found that the wheels lean out at the top...

    Vredestein Quatrac 5 tire question

Hope I'm not hijacking this thread... I'm trying to decide what size tire to put on the front of my 2017 RT. I'm going to try the Vrendestein Q5. Several people here have gone to 165/60... but I'm concerned with fender clearance. The OEM Kendas were 165/55. According to a chart I found online...

Well I put 120 miles on the bike today. No problems. I guess I'll put the body panels back on and just hope the problem(s) never return. How long are the codes stored in the system? When things get back to normal (from the corona virus) if I have an opportunity to have a technician hook it up...

    Yesterday Codes C0040 & C006C; Today Codes P061E & P0504! What's up with today's?

I guess I jumped the gun thinking the trailer wiring harness was the culprit. I had forgotten to connect it to the battery before testing it. When connected to the battery it does not cause a problem with the turn signals and brake lights... everything works as it should. So, I've got...

    Yesterday Codes C0040 & C006C; Today Codes P061E & P0504! What's up with today's?

Well, everything is working properly at the moment... I may have found the problem... keeping my fingers crossed. Since the day/running lights were acting weird I disconnected the plugs going to those... 4 of them... 2 fender markers and the 2 small lights above the headlights. Power on... the...

More wrinkles... With F1 fuse pulled I can step on the brake pedal and the Day/Running Lights light up. I can also connect the tail light assemblies... step on the brake pedal... the brake lights work (no blown fuse)... and the day/running lights light up. Obviously some crossed/shorted wires...

Thanks Joel, Yes, I do have a brake light on the trunk. That was one of the first things I disconnected... along with the trailer harness... just to eliminate those possibilities from the start.

Idaho, Yes I do have a shop manual. I haven't seen the brake lights work since I limped it home the other day... so I don't know when they stopped working. I'll have to wait until I get more fuses before I can do much more. I did check both the BLS & LPS with an ohm meter and felt they were OK...

    Yesterday Codes C0040 & C006C; Today Codes P061E & P0504! What's up with today's?

With two more fuses left I did the following: Unplugged the connectors to the [Brake Light Switch & the Low Pressure Switch... started the engine... Hazard Lights worked and NO blown fuse in F2 (Brake Light/Hazard) (right fuse box) I tested the BLS & LPS with an ohm meter. Both were normally...

Thanks Idaho, I don't know if the hazard lights worked or not... I didn't think to try them. I am out of fuses... ordered a supply this evening... I'll have to wait a couple of days before I can look at it some more. Thanks

OK I removed the body panels. No sign of mouse chewed wires. I have a trailer wiring harness installed so I unplugged that to rule out any problems with that. Re-installed the battery and a Brake circuit fuse. Started the bike... blew the fuse. Still showing codes P061E and P0504... both brake...

Thanks Doug... but I don't suspect rodent damage at all. I've never seen any evidence of mice in the place where I keep the bike... but that is something to keep in mind. I suspect a brake switch or something along that line instead. IdahoMtnSpyder... I have a Battery Tender Jr. Is that a...

Doing Rear brake pad replacement - need to drop the wheel?

On a 2017 RT-S you turn the piston clockwise (facing it) to retract it . Turning it counterclockwise will cause you lots of grief... ask me how I know :-) Turn it clockwise to retract it.
