• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

Still waiting for a call back to get it into the shop. However, my father has been in the hospital over a week now, so I don’t really have time for it anyway. I will post here when I get it taken in.

SHOUT OUT TO SPYDER RIDERS OF BROKEN ARROW

I rode from South Texas to the Jamboree in Tahlequah in 2024. Lots of Spyders there, and the routes they had were really good. I plan on attending another in the near future.

Going to Maggie Valley October 11-15 - glad to meet up & ride/break bread with anyone in the area.

Thx for the report, @blacklightning. And excellent pics!! I tend to see a lot while I’m out riding, but I SUCK at taking pics... 😂

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Glad you got to load it on that trailer, @CloverHillCrawler . I had one of those toy haulers rented last year for another reason, and brought it home to see if my F3-S would fit. I too noticed that the inside half of the front tires was hanging off the outer ramps. Like you, I was trying to...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Sorry to hear of all this, Clover. Hate it when one bad thing turns into a whole cluster of bad things. Hopefully you have used up your allotment of bad juju for a good, long while.

Going Down Memory Lane; Show Us Your First Motorbikes & Your Current Spyder

Found a pic of an example of my first bike - a 1974 Honda XL70. What’s ironic to me in this pic… the bike right behind it is an example of my second bike - an ultra-rare, one-year-only 1977 Honda CT125, known as a “Trail 125”. And a pic of my current ride in its “distance touring” form. I can...

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

We’ll see. Drove by the dealership today and confirmed that my B.E.S.T. warranty is good through 17 May 2027. 👍🏼 Service writer says they are about a week out, and they’d call me a day before to bring it in. Still rideable at the moment, and I didn’t want it sitting there under their “care” any...

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

Well, I put the Daytona up on blocks, and removed the small cover over the front pulley. Decided to remove (for keeps) the left lower engine cover to get a better look at the slave cylinder, and also make it easier to get to the engine oil drain plugs. After 10 min spent pulling the front two...

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

Ok - thx for the replies. I do have an online service manual. I will get the machine up off the ground a little and see if I can find some wet fluid signs and access the slave cylinder. Will report back with my findings.

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

Any ideas/help to find/fix this “Disappearing” fluid from the manual clutch reservoir - 2017 F3-S

Looking for some help from those of you who have/had a manual shift Spyder. My ‘17 F3-S Daytona has been losing its manual clutch DOT4 fluid somewhere. I can find no sign of a leak. Park it on a concrete floor and nary a drop is seen under it. No leak at the reservoir lid. It will go anywhere...

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

I have only jumped on them once so far for a panic stop - I believe they are indeed an upgrade.

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

A few days ago, I installed my new EBC brake pads front and rear, and also installed new floating rotors from MTV. Got free shipping from Eastern Europe to South Texas… my wife and I joined one of his tours and we stashed them in our luggage with our dirty clothes. Well, not exactly free!! 😁 🤦‍♂️

What did you do to/with your Spyder today?

Did you use Martin’s rotors? Yesterday, I competed in the Sportsman Motorcycle class at our local drag strip. Was the inaugural race for our track returning to NHRA sponsorship. Dropped my personal best passes to a 1.855sec 60’ time, 5.212sec 330’ time, and 8.054sec 660’ (1/8 mile) time. Had...

Can I Gut my cat? Has anyone else done this?

Not sure of the composition on the CanAm converter, but I pulled the exhaust on my 2014 Honda CTX1300 to gut the converters. Had done so on my ‘87 Buick Grand National and found that the ceramic-type honeycomb media and surrounding insulator was easy to remove. On the CTX, found that the...

Starting to hunt down what is causing a P16C8 code.

Hey @CloverHillCrawler - keep us posted about your thoughts on his rotor/pad setup. The spousal unit and I are joining one of his ToursOn3 rides in about 5 weeks. Been seriously considering throwing a set in my checked baggage on the way home. The ‘17 Daytona has 20K on the original pads front &...

Anyone going back and forth from their Spyder to a motorcycle?

Not a problem for me. Had my F3-S along with my Honda CTX1300 for about 6 months before I sold the CTX. Never was an issue. The CTX has been gone 3 years now, but last month I started dirt riding again in preps for the Florence Grand Prix race in Florence, KS, last weekend. Again, no problems...
