• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone near me knows how to tune?

PCV with auto tune is an option. Have used on other bikes and it works great. I just haven't sprung the $$$ for the Spyder system yet . . . . ,

    Engine stall with SE5

That explanation doesn't sound quite right. Although the computer is slow, it's not that slow. IF the problem is related to the electronics, it is more likely a sensor that is on the edge. This doesn't happen to me and I would suggest it s not " normal" or we would all be experiencing this...

    Audio

The gps audio signal always takes precedence. Doesn't matter if it is a 660 or a 665. Although the 660 won't play XM radio, but it will play mp3 and audio books. If you don't want the sound from the gps (660 or 665) to interrupt other sounds (like CB) then you can mute the gps on its audio...

2012 RT vibrates above 5000 RPMs

Cutting belt guard is easy. Hold it in place and make a pencil mark where you want the cut. About 1 inch clearance. Use a ruler and draw a straight angled line. Should be parallel to the tensioner arm. I used a bandsaw and then lightly sanded the edges.

    gas mileage

You didn't say if you have an SE or a manual. On the SE, if you run below about 3500 rpm the clutch will continually slip, and your gas mileage will suffer. ( Clutch will suffer as well.). So with an SE you need to wind up to 5000rpm or more before upshifting, and maintain a minimum of about...

    T-Rex

Understandable to want to have it trailered. It's a shame if he doesn't get out and ride it - but to each his own :doorag:

    T-Rex

Hmmmm, don't remember anyone suggesting a T-Rex was practical. However, driving interstates is actually quite nice in a T-Rex. In town is scarier by a long shot. If you actually had one you would know this. It is always silly to drive next to big rigs, but you get much more buffet on 2...

    Right side radiator fan cover

I decided to cover mine. I chose the spyderpops option: the radiator block-off plate. I also added his stainless steel grille covers for left and right. Looks nice, and you can easily remove the block- off plate at anytime if you wish. An alternative is just to use a decorative plate (like...

    T-Rex

Curious about flipping - they really don't do that easily. Easier to flip a pickup. But insurance is very high. Cost of repair is very high. And people who are inexperienced driving high powered vehicles have a bad habit of crashing.

    Zumo 665 - What's Needed to Install to a 2012 RT SE5

It is correct that the 665 does NOT work with the factory setup in an RT-Limited. That being said, the issue is the Garmin 660 harness - that harness is not compatible with the XM radio antenna - even though it has all the same connections. You must replace the Garmin harness for the 665 to...

    Learn From My Stupidity

I will take it apart and re-check my connections. But the very regular timing of this makes me think it is something else - like a relay cycling. However I have not noticed anything else being effected by this as yet.

    Learn From My Stupidity

My power wiring is the factory connection for the 660 Harness. (I removed the 660 harness because it does not support XM radio with the 665). A plug is added to the Garmin cable. Then the Garmin cable plugs into a cable that is attached to the radio module. This connection is on the right just...

    Learn From My Stupidity

I have the same problem. Wired the 665 cable in place of the factory 660 cable. Sometimes it cycles power every 10-15 seconds. Other times it works fine. I did try putting the 660 back in and the same thing happened. The power cycles are very regular. It acts like a time delay relay. Anyone...

Custom Dynaics HMT brake light installation

I think it is easiest to simply remove the right rear panel with the antenna. Remove the three screws in the top trunk, and the entire assembly comes off. Then you can easily see how to route the wires. Run the wire down the same path as the antenna wire. Coil and stow excess wire behind the...
