2008 GS chipped key?

I went to the local hardware store to get my key duplicated and cloned. but they could not read the chip from the original key. do all 2008 GS have a transponder key?

The chip in the Spyder key is the most popular key security chip ever made. If their machine can't read it they won't have much business. Try somewhere else.

best to go to a locksmith shop...kwick keys is where we go. I ordered blanks online and they were wrong and the corrected them to work. Smaller stores may not be equiped to handle them...:thumbup:

If you watch the video on key cloning finless posted he tells you which machine they need to do the cloning. I have had success at ACE hardware (but not every one of them) and at Lowes.
