• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2010 Can-Am Spyder RT SE5

Hi..I am thinking of getting a 2010 rt se5....going from a gs se.
I don't want to buy a bike that's loaded with issues but cannot afford a new one and my knees cannot do the gs anymore.
Are there things I need to look at when going over this bike?

I had one of the Premier Editions (RTS #474). Put over 36,500 miles on it and had NO major problems. Replaced cruise control switch, a shift linkage, and some tires. Traded on my new 2014. The person that got my old 2010--got a good one.

Do some due diligence. Have the dealer run the VIN, get the service history, and have them check it over. That can save you some grief if you know the history of the machine.

Have the dealer run the V.I.N., and if you can; take the bike along, and  get a printout of the BUDS report! :2thumbs:
Otherwise, take a look at the belt alignment, and note the belt tension, look at the oil, check the coolant reservoir...
make sure that all of the switches work
Check the front suspension; how is it set up, and have their been any modifications?
(The 2010s had really soft shocks, and many were replaced.)
