• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Conditions: Clear 62 degrees F. 40 mile ride round trip, city driving stoplight to stoplight traffic conditions. Top speed 50 MPH low speed 30 MPH. Average red light stopping time 1:45 ( min/Sec).

Heat gage reading was just below half way for today's run all the time. Normal temperatures at 75 to 95 degrees F the heat gage runs between half way and 3/4 of the way to full scale.

Was thinking won't have to run the fan today. Wrong answer it was stinkier today then the last ride at 75 degrees F. Where I rode 80 miles at 65 MPH.

did you fill up somewhere along the way..?? filling slowly and stopping when the gas splashes at the vents helps. Over filling can cause it and if your evap canister is loaded all you have to do is warm up the engine compartment to get the aroma...check or have them check all the hoses related to the fuel tank and evap system. They are known to dry out and crack..just some suggestions if they haven't been done already....:thumbup:
 
It is not all about the temperature. Other factors include rpm, and proper purge valve function, as well as canister condition. You are doing the right thing to try to pin down the main culprit. More experimentation is in order, but keep trying and reporting the results. My opinion is that the emissions system is vastly underdesigned, but it would be good to know what makes it tick...or not as is often the case.
