2014 rt frunk removal

hi people, does the frunk remove the same as on the 13 rt. i bought this setup from custom dynamics http://www.customdynamics.com/can_a...Street_Magic_Genesis_Series_LED Front Runners and it says to wire them into the plugs under the a arms for the front fenders. the setup is not made for the 14 rt so i want to adapt it to work on my bike by wiring it into my running lights and directional's. the way the setup comes is that the LED'S are split with wires coming out of each end of the strip.
so what i want to do is run the wires under the frunk sides out of site and install plugs under the removable plastic covers just below the headlights so they can be disconnected to remove the frunk in the future. so is it the same two bolts under the bike and the few bolts under the plastic covers to get the frunk off,,,,,, thanks

Hi John,
I believe that the Frunk removal is the same...
Having said this; there MAY be some procedural differences, but it should certainly be close-enough to figure them out along the way.

You do not have to take off the frunk they are under the a arms next to your inside wheels but if you wire them thru the frunk another story. Thinks it's 5 bolts and some plastic needs to be removed with a few connections

Yes it's the two under-neath ( bolts not the nuts ) then four bolts on top but two are under the headlite fachia , then pop off the side covers with the grills and there is one bolt on each side at the top back corner .....But I would check and see if the connection under the " A " arm will work first........Mike :thumbup:

mike being the unit is not made for the 14 rt i need to make it work. also i figured if i put the plugs, ( water proof ) that i bought under the removable plastic pieces i can label them to be unplugged so i don't have to worry about a dealer working on the bike will miss them if they have to remove the frunk. as i was sitting here i was thinking that i can just reach under the front fenders and clean the area and put tyrap holders and tyrap the wires in a loom i will buy and route it to the openings at the top of the frunk and wire the rest of the system from there. i hope i am making sense

OK on the wiring thing........are you OK on the Frunk re-moval..........the under the headlite faschia that are a real pain in the *ss........After I my frunk off the first time I never put those two back......They don't carry any weight anyway......it's the clips that stick out from the frame on top that carry all the weight the bolts just keep it from poping off the clips.....JMHO....Mike :thumbup:

yea i can make it with no problem, had the nose off my 13 many times. but i will just check it out to see if i can do it a easier way b4 i remove the nose. i enjoy working on the bike but my body reminds me for the next few day's that it doesn't like it
