2014 RT-L Left rear hatch fell off

Hello all,
My friends owns a 2014 RT-L, the left rear hatch (saddle bag door) fell off after opening.
Is this a know issue? Any quick fix? He is leaving on a long ride soon.
I felt you guys would know how to deal with it.
Do they snap in or do you think it just broke and needs replacing?
I am not there to see it, hoping you all would know what he is talking about.

I think that Ann had a hinge break on hers. :shocked:
Try sending her a PM about it... I think that they replace it themselves.

I did have a hinge break on mine. They are pretty cheaply made hinges. Now are you saying the entire lid came off or just the painted part?

While we did replace it ourselves I would recommend having the dealer do it, if it is under warranty, as it takes a long time to do.

Thanks Bob and Anne for your quick responses.
I haven't seen it but he said the lid fell off onto the driveway.
I guess that means the hinge broke or failed.

I'll call him up and give him the news.
