2014 RT not Shifting into 1st or R after shutting down - any advice?

In Texas after 1700 miles of dodging rain and tornadoes this week. The RT is not shifting at times into 1 or R after shutting down. Finally it does, thankfully. It seems to happen when it's hot. It's 98 degrees down here. Any advice? No error lights...

This is my first tour on this Spyder. The Oil level looks fine, when checking it hot after a minute's stop. Thanks.

Does it affect re-starting your ride? I've noticed, once recently , that when I restart my 2022, the screen shows 1 or R but still starts then shows N. The reason I just noticed this is that usually, I start my ride while putting on my gear, so I don't look at screen.

It should return to neutral before it can start not having to do it manually. Parking brake must be set.

So it will start after shutdown but will not go into gear. Not sure what model it is but you may be having problems with the switches activated by the paddles.

Push repeatedly won't go into 1 or R. Today it's working fine, but I haven't gotten it hot. I stopped to repair a Harley brake line on one of our bikes.
