• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2014 RTS

I think what was said has been blown out of proportion. I'm almost positive the reason he said what he said was to steer you away from the bike to try and sell you a different one. That is an old salesmen tactic; to sell you a different bike that he might get a bigger commission on, or something of the like. But I'm almost positive what he said was "self serving". This is one of the reasons why I don't talk to salesmen when I go into any dealership. I always know what I want before I ever even go in to a store. I do my homework at home, and then I make a phone call to find a dealership that is honest to me on the phone. If they aren't honest on the phone, they'll be even more dishonest when you walk through their door.

"These are not the droids you're looking for..."

I can tell you for a fact that off the line RT to RT it's a big difference. On my RT's when you hit the gas from a stop to shoot across traffic the RT will fall on it's face for just a sec, the 1330 just goes as you would expect any bike to. It was the first thing Fred Rau and I noticed during our testing.

Are you making a left turn into a traffic lane by any chance ?
My 2010 RT does the same. Only when accelerating hard into left turn to enter traffic. The first time it happened it was........disconcerting.
I always assumed the Nanny was kicking in to prevent one of the wheels from lifting.

Back in 2008 &2009, Canam used to advertise that the RS would do 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, anybody know what the 2014 RT will do this in. This will give us an idea how quick it is off the line. This will not matter to some, but for others it will.

Here you go. I found this on http://www.zeroto60times.com/

You are right on that the 2009 Spyder did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds.

They list a 2011 RT at 6.8 seconds, which I imagine would cover all year RTs. Considerably slower, but it is a different beast.

Notice they have a 2014 slot that says "to be released". As it is, there is a 2.3 second gap between an RS and an RT. I would expect the 2014 RT to be geared more like the prior year RT. I don't think it is meant to run with the RS.
