• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2017 RT rear trunk removal to fit extn USB cable - any instructions/hints?

I need to remove the rear trunk so that I can access the USB cable so that I can add an extension cable and run it to the steering column. I removed the passenger back rest but the cable isn't visible.

Can anyone point to instructions on how to remove the trunk or would the wiring be accessible in the rear speaker compartment?

If the wiring is accessible in the rear speaker compartment, I just need to know how to remove the speaker. I saw three screws but they did not allow me to move the speaker grill or compartment.

Your help would be truly appreciated.

I did run a 10' cable from my trunk so I had power up front to support my GPS or phone. I have a 23 RT-L and did not remove my trunk or passengers backrest. I am not sure of the differences between bikes, but I used a coat hanger to run the USB cable to the area under the seat.

Did you drill through it to get the wire from the trunk? I know I may possibly have to make a hole in the trunk or pull the wire through the existing hole. Please tell me with how you got to the wire?

I just realized that I did not have to remove the trunk. Just the armrest/speaker module and I drilled a hole so that I could plug in the USB cable in the trunk. Thanks again for all of your help.
