• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was just checking with my Canam dealer (East Coast Cycle Center) Bensalem,Pa.
3,000 mile oil change only : approximately $110 ( $65 labor plus parts)
6,000 mile service with oil change: $198 labor plus any parts that are needed.

Does this sound reasonable ?:spyder2:

Not sure its reasonable, but its what they charge:dontknow:. where have you been hiding? I'm in delran, and a few of us further south have gotten together to ride once. check in once in a while.

Man it sounds great to me!! lol granted I came to the spyder from a harley and let me tell you what the 3 harley dealerships in orlando wanted to charge for 5k change: 355 and for the 10k 650! needless to say I did all my own work. Just a little something for perspective

Compared to what I was charged for mine, this is a bargain. Mine gave me complete check list of everything they did and I do think they are an excellent servicing dealer, but they are not cheap. Believe me, I am jealous.

I believe by parts thats is not including oil or filters. My last one was 198.00 for labor and i brought all my own parts...

The cost is very reasonable on the surface, but what have they really done? $65 labor seems to be 1/2 hour charge. Have someone call them and ask their hourly rate. If they can do it in 1/2 hour, BRP needs to contract that tech to go around to other dealers and teach them how to be lightning fast. Just setting the Spyder up on a rack takes time, removing the plastics and other things to get to the drain plugs is no less than 1/2 hour. And the tech hasn't gone through all of the check list for either service. So, IMO somewhere you are getting jacked...on both services.
