Anybody using an aluminum frame enclosed trailer to tow their Spyder?

I have a 2024 Sea to Sky. I'd like to buy a new trailer to haul my Spyder cross country when I visit my relatives. I have a lot of relatives on the Eastern Seaboard from Maine to Florida so I need a durable 6x12, 7x12 or 7x14. Just wondering if anyone has a quality aluminum frame enclosed trailer that they would recommend. If not, what's a high quality enclosed trailer that you would recommend? Is tandem wheels a better option or does it matter?

High quality…..perfect for the RT…custom built for your Spyder.

Any specifics you can give us on yours? Model, accessories, etc?

Interesting trailer, at 3500 GVWR rating does it come standard with brakes. Picture show brake drums, however I did not see them in the specs or write up. Many states require brake on trailers 3000 or over GVWR.

The Wide Body in the link is the one we have. Have plenty of room to get around the bike to attend to tie downs. Have Electric brakes with break-away system. They will pretty much make the thing anyway you need. I gave them the specs on the Spyder, width, wheel base, total length tip to tip etc, and it all fit right in.

Mine is a 8.5x28' InTech ICON, but I tow more than just the Spyder in it.

InTech makes a full line of Aluminum trailers, and they're one of the best out there.
They ain't cheap, though.

We have a Chariot Trailer made in Tampa Florida. It is a twin torsion bar axle, fully enclosed fiberglass box with a full aluminum frame under it. I had them add an additional 18" of length on the tongue so I could back into tighter spaces without the truck contacting the trailer. It has about 45,000 miles on it with no issues other than normal maintenance.

We have a 19' Legend that holds an RTL and an F3L. Trailer and bikes are about 4500 lbs. I tow it with a Honda Ridgeline.

I own a '2019 Legend' all aluminum 7' X 14' with tandem wheels. I also have 6'2 height. I wanted to have some head room. 3,000 miles and no problems so far. Remember to get what you want, so do your homework before you buy.

I hope this will help you with your trailer purchase. (y)

Snowbelt's trailer is the cat's hind end in my book for sure, totally set up to roll, low to the ground, and has brakes - that is a must in my eye's!! I bought a 7x14 single axle enclosed trailer with the higher head room which didn't have brakes, but I fixed that with a nice brake kit, and am I glad I did! On my trip to Tenn to visit family, I had about the closest close call of my life, and I am sure that if I had not put the kit on, I would have totaled out the farm! The higher trailer will give you a longer ramp for easier loading, but finding a doorway that is wide enough is another obstacle! That trailer Snowbelt showed you would be my choice!!! Unless you want something with more storage?! Open trailers are OK, but an enclosed is easier on your bike in a lot of ways!

Googling Snowbelt Trailers does not find something with the name. Got a link?

Before Covid, I bought a Haulmark tandem axle 7x14 aluminum body enclosed trailer. It came with brakes. I paid less than $5000 for it, but I don't remember exactly how much. It has gone from Utah to Yuma and Utah to the Blackhills, safely hauling my Spyder, and around Utah as well. It acts as its garage in between times as well. At 7ft wide, I can walk beside the Spyder comfortably. At 14 ft long, I can also store my Hannigan Europa trailer in there also. The Europa is about the same size as the original Can Am pull behind trailer. The door of the trailer acts as the loading ramp as well.

We haul my husband's Triumph Tiger 900GT and my F3-T in a Neo Trailer, Model NAV714. His bike goes in the front with a chock and 4 ties down rings. Mine goes behind it with E-Track chocks and over the wheel tie downs. You do need "add on" ramps to decrease the ramp/trailer angle so the Spyder doesn't drag.

I've been slowly searching for a similar trailer, the Ironhorse looks really good for RV towing. Thanks for posting this!

Would love to see a picture of that loaded please?
