• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I broke (modded) my old lift to lift my dump truck differentials:gaah:long story:roflblack:. Any way saw this lift at harbor freight store in person looked real cool, will lift only my spyder, if any has one or used one chime in harbor freight stuff can be cheesy at times so I was just looking for a ("I have it it works well")or a ("Don't buy that piece of :cus: it dropped my spyder on my toe and now I lost a toenail ") or something to that effect..

I see no reason why that would not work as long as it can get under the Spyder. I have and use this one quite often (Link). I would prefer that type your looking at for the automatic locking ability. Mine has the lever action for locking, but the Spyder is to wide for it to be used properly as the body panels do not allow it to drop down without me physically cutting it and shortening it... Kind of removing the safeness of it...

I've got something REAL similar that I used on my ATV... I used it to pick up my RT while changing the front shock preload and while hammering my floorboards in place.

The trick is to get everything balanced so that one end doesn't sag groundwards...

Thanks IWN2RYD the one you are using is what i ruined and I had exactly the same problems you stated you have with it. This one looks pretty well built It will go under the. The pic does not show very well but it has a removable lift plate for 2" more lift.

Thanks Bob if it worked on a ATV I should get along fine with it under my Spyder.

Thanks for your input

alum. lift

This is the one i use and it works great. just have to balance it exactly if you want to raise all three wheels at once......

Good luck

Jim;

For that kind of money from them (Harbor Freight), I would be tempted to believe that it would be better quality than a lot of their stuff.
Last year, I was lucky enough to buy a Larin ATV lift from Farm&Fleet with a roller seat for $70. Normally $134.95.

I got one from sears it was like $40.00 less. as was mentioned make sure it's centered and it comes with 2 tie down straps.

I have a super coupon for this lift for $ 99.00, good trhugh 4/1/11. They were sold out in Dec at the Johnson City but told me they would have more in. I will pick one up when I go back to the VA in March.

My buddy has the Harbor Freight lift, and I have the Craftsman. The Harbor Freight isn't as sturdy as the Sears, but it is lighter. He also says it drops sometimes over night.:dontknow:

I believe Lamont mentioned something some time ago in an earlier thread about a lift/jack that sold for $90.00. In fact I think he purchased. For the life of me I can't remember the brand.

When it is time for my next oil change I will do it myself. Will I be able to lift my Rt with a floor jack and use stands and where are the jack placement points.

Thanks

Thanks all I'll have to check out Sears see if they have this type of lift I'd rather buy one from Sears than Harbor Freight any way

As always Thanks for all your input

I use a standard 3 ton Sears floor jack to lift mine but to lift the front I have to first run it up on ramps because the jack will not slide under the front. The jack slides under the side okay to lift the rear.
