There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Anyone use mesh riding pants in the summer?

I have a FirstGear full mesh jacket that I have been very impressed with. Its actually cooler wearing the jacket in the sun than just a tee shirt. Have been considering a pair of mesh pants that would flow through air much better than my jeans and perhaps offer a bit of protection as well. Currently looking at the Joe Rocket Pheonix 3 mesh pants in Grey to go with my Blue jacket. Did not really like the reviews on the Firstgear pants and they do not look like they would breath all that well as designed. Black pants would also be pretty hot in the Texas sun.

Suggetsions or experience?

I have light tan mesh suit from BILT. I feel that mesh is cooler than jeans. My gear is pants and jacket. It has 3 layers. Mesh only, mesh and warm layer or mesh, warmth and rain layer good luck in deciding,

I wear the Joe Rocket Phoenix 3.0 mesh pants over shorts when it is hot . . . much cooler than just a pair of jeans without the mesh pants. And really comfortable if you have highway pegs and get your feet up on them! I've had them for about a year, now. Be sure the Velcro where the knee armor is (there are two different pouches so you can adjust where it sits, up or down) is lined up properly, or it will scratch your leg in shorts . . . it doesn't take long to get really uncomfortable . . . but if the two parts are aligned so they completely cover each other it isn't an issue.

I use mesh from Olympia , pants has a rain liner if you need to ride in rain . The jacket has a removable rain liner , a insulated liner also . Both have oversize hip down vents on arms, back and chest. Use it all the time!

COMMANDO

If you really need to know...I love my first gear mesh jacket and pants...only took one Bambi before I was convinced to never ride without them...don't have any spare skin or body parts no matter how hot or inconvenient it may seem won't ride without them...

I own a pair of Olympia Airglide pants. Easily wear them over pants into work, cargo shorts while riding, or even over boxers alone-- sorry Bob, no commando!

I wear the Firstgear mesh jacket and pants. I wear the pants over underwear and they work great. I wear a T-Shirt under the jacket.

IN A WORD ....YES

I have the Tourmaster venture air pants that I wear and my BRP riding jacket. The riding pants are cooler than jeans IMHO and keep me shielded from the heat. They are a three layer combo, with insulation for cold days and a rain/windbreaker liner as well. or remove the inside liners and just have airflow mesh with the padded protection in the knee and hip area. I find these to be real comfortable. I always wear them in all conditions. I want the protection and don't wish to experience road rash should things go wrong while out on the road.

Well I ordered a pair of the Joe Rocket Pheonix 3 mesh pants with a birthday gift card. Hope they work out well. The FirstGear pants were nearly double the cost, mostly from the breathable water proof liner that I would never use. I was looking for HOT weather only. Have the cold months covered already. Thanks for everyone's input. Look forward to trying these.

Tank top(or golf shirt) and golf shorts under my First Gear suit. Even though the pants are black they are still cooler than anything else in the 90 deg heat around here. ATGATT:thumbup:
