There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Coolest, best vented mesh riding jacket?

We live in Las Vegas and agree with the comments about cooling vests - also, cooling cloths around the neck can do the job on short rides when you don't feel like using the vest. As for jackets, I use a Joe Rocket Phoenix mesh jacket in hi-viz with shoulder and elbow armor and I added armor to the back. This works as well as anything, but we did a 200 mile ride a couple of years ago where the temps hit 114 degrees. It was not pleasant but we made it home by repeatedly soaking cooling cloths around our necks and pouring water on ourselves repeatedly. Now when it is predicted to hit 114 degrees, we get a really early start so we're out while it's still comfortable and we make sure we're back home by 10 a.m. or 11 a.m. before the heat really sets in. Otherwise, we just go to the pool or stay inside in the A/C. The Spyder is for fun and enjoyment. There is no point in killing yourself just to ride. If you're miserably hot, you're not enjoying the ride.

Thanks troop. :2thumbs: Talk about perfect timing. We went down to long sleeve or short sleeve hi viz shirts for warm weather riding on mostly deserted roads. However, still have the ATGATT in my mind. The jackets you posted look like just what we are looking for. We ordered a pair. The sale price and free shipping were the clincher.

Inquiring minds want to know, what do you think about them, if you have received them yet?

BOHN ARMOR! Armored mesh zippered shirt (jacket). Awesome! Flows air like crazy. Tom :spyder:

It might have been mentioned before -- Cool Vest. They work! Also cool ties - Harbor Freight has 'em.

Try Slattinmoto. I saw the review in cycle world, and ordered one. Richard Slattin went out of his way to fit me - I wear a 52 xx long. Fits perfect, works great! Check them out! I love mine; wore it today in 100 degrees. At 80, not too bad!!

I ride an RTL. Not sure what your jacket is, my summer jacket is light coloured shown here on eBay. I noticed my black textile pants were getting hot even in winter, and decided the summer jacket needed to be a light colour. It seems to have paid off riding during some of our 47 degrees c days here (116 degrees in your land).

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is this draggin' shirt meant to be worn in Summer in place of a jacket and still provide protection? We have decent mesh jackets but still get overly warm on Summer rides and we've been wondering if there are shirts out there as alternatives. Does anyone know of other long sleeved mesh shirts for Summer riding? Thanks

The most minimalist mesh top you can get is Draggin' Jeans' Kevlar mesh shirt. Unfortunately they are out of stock at the moment. Give them a call and find out when they might get more (might be tied to current economic conditions).

I wore one over a cotton t-shirt for the better part of a decade down here in Alabama.

A special thanks to Troop. We received the pair of jackets from Viking today.

It turns out that they were just what we were looking for. Large mesh (for cooling), more adjusting straps than I could have wished for, padded, and with a zip in lining.

Out will come the pads and the liner. Very visible. These are a "steal" at the sale price of $49.95 each plus FREE shipping.

Nice, thank you. I'm liking mine too. Found this after the fact :( :)
