• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Apple CarPlay update - what is the secret to getting it working properly??

Having spent over nearly three weeks on my Spyder (Alaska trip), I am so frustrated with ACP and so very glad I have an old Garmin Zumo 396 as a back up for routing (though it wasn't flawless either). While I will be trying a factory reset of my Sena SRL-Mesh, I don't think that is the problem. I think it is in the Spyder software (I'm on the current version). Most of the time, it will connect and start. My usual problem is when it goes for about 30 seconds (just enough to pull out onto the road) and then freezes. Sometimes I had just a blank screen on the right side. Sometimes it would reset itself while I was riding and suddenly start working. Sometimes it would work flawlessly for hours. I love it when it works. Glad I got a '24 so that it is available. Sure will be glad if they ever get the bugs all worked out.
I had a similar problem with Android Auto in my car. You have to give the phone enough time to build the route. I found that with Android Auto, if I did not do that, then the screen would freeze up. Sometimes after a few feet, and sometimes after a mile or more. When I let the phone build the route before I started moving, it worked fine.

I have been having lot of troubles, not getting CarPlay to start, freezing, ect. then one day I wiggled the cable connecting to the iPhone (genuine cable) I have used this same cable since I first owned my 2024. I discovered that the cable was now bad. It did work fine for a long time. I switched to another cable, tried one I got on Amazon, and bang, it worked fine ever since (I do have a new spare genuine cable in the bike, just in case).

So I’m back to the start, turn my helmet com on, turn the bike ON with the iPhone ON maps, (might not be required 🤷🏻‍♂️), wait until I hear the phone is connected, plug the cable in, then start the second helmet, and use mesh.

If I try to connect both helmets via the second Bluetooth channel, CarPlay goes away and there’s a 50-50% that it will come back.

They really need to hire a company to set this up better, it shouldn’t be that hard - for real pro.

I'm glad to hear you got it working with a different cable, and sorry to hear that you're still having troubles.
I think I ended up trying four different cables, two Apple cables and two aftermarket cables. One of the Apple cables is what I'm using now.
Both of the aftermarket cables work fine in my Honda Ridgeline, but didn't work for the Spyder.

I'm a solo rider, so don't have the a second helmet problem.

I do know that the SENA 3S Plus headset I added to my helmet has several different pairing options, including to a GPS device, two cell phones, and intercom pairings.

I paired my headset to my Spyder using the GPS pairing option, then paired it to my iPhone using one of the cell phone pairings. If I were riding with someone else, either as a a pillion or on another bike I'd use the intercom pairing directions.

Has anyone used Apple Car Play & inRoute navigation? My 2024 RT has ACP (all updates) and my iPhone has inRoute installed. InRoute is transferred from my iPhone to the screen with ACP. Route started, but no sound! Music and phone work with sound, inRoute nav instruction has no sound? Can someone help?
If you have no sound on ACP for navigation, check to be sure you have audio enabled. Touch the navigation screen on the right hand side. You should see 3 icons for sound. Often the sound is muted.

I've had nothing but problems with my ACP since purchasing my 24 S2S last March. I'm attaching my latest (of many) emails to BRP. Maybe someone has had better luck and knows the secrets of getting it to work properly. Yes I've tried every way possible to hook up my iphone.

Hello Ivette,

Our saga continues.

Last week I started her up, ACP popped right up-yay! I rode 5 miles to the gas station, turned it off and fueled up. Restarted and no connection, no ACP, no connection to Bluetooth. I rode off and was able to stop the Spyder a couple of miles later. I rebooted my bike and phone and had no luck. I rode 30+ miles to my next destination with no CarPlay or music. Typical! Leaving to go home everything worked as it should have (?)

I received and installed your latest update Friday and CarPlay fired right up in the garage. Yay! Maybe you have solved the issues. Well my happiness was short-lived.. I went ryding today (76 degrees F) and again it worked until I stopped for gas. No connection to ACP and now the "preference" box did not light up on the dash also. It still keeps showing cannot connect to USB cable and again no Bluetooth either. I stopped again and was able to get Bluetooth connected but still no ACP.

WTF

How long must I fight this defective POS? Again I just want it FIXED!!!!!!!!

I'm allowing some time for an honest response to my email and if not satisfactory I will start calling the above phone number daily or hourly if necessary.

The next step will leave me no alternative to turn over my complaints to my attorney.

Thank you again
