• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Bad night, but could have been worse

Last night was supposed to be a quiet evening. My wife had an accident with the Hyundai Sante Fe we own. First and foremost, she is OK and has no major injuries. She hit one of those steel posts that are filled with concrete while making a turn in a parking lot. it hit the car right behind the Driver front tire and it looks like it may have hit just right and bent the frame. Now it is time to deal with the insurance. Luckily we do have Allstate, and they are awesome. more details to follow.

Just sayin'............

 As long as she's okay; anything else can be fixed or replaced... Give her another hug, and remind her of that! If it was at parking lot speed; it might not have done as much damage as you fear... Good Luck! :2thumbs:

In any accident as long as the people involved are ok then that's all that's matters. Every thing else can be replaced. Glad she's ok, my wife would never admit hitting something if I was not around to witness. She would have said that she found it that way when she returned to the car. My wife is Japanese, so she's hates the whole Asian driver stereotype, which I would comment on but I want to stay married....

The only serious accident I was ever in (knock on wood) was when I was 16 and I totaled a car.
I was huddled up in my bedroom when the State Cop came as a follow up the next day.
My dad said, "That was a really bad one"
The cop said, "Is your son ok?"
Dad said "Yes he's asleep upstairs"
"Then it wasn't bad at all", cop said.

Amen

Bummer..!!

Glad your wife is ok..parking lots scare the :cus: out of me. Yet they tell you to train there. There is something evil about them. I have seen people hit the one light pole when the lot was empty. Hope the car fair better than feared...

Glad to hear Brenda is not seriously hurt!! Tell her Nancy and I are thinking of her. Good luck with the insurance company also. Keep us posted, Chad, how things go for you guys.

Thanks for all the well wishes. No word yet on the car but Allstate sais we no longer have rental car coverage. They are blaming it on our agent, saying she made a mistake. I think they just do not want us to have a rental yet. Meanranch back at the while, wife is doing better and we are trying to have a mellow Saturday.
