• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

BajaRon front shocks for F3/RT models - are there different spring rates for varying weight loads?

I received a notification from Slingmods about them now selling Baja Ron front shocks for F3/RT Spyders? They are manufactured here in the USA by JRI, which is a high quality suspension manufacturer. Ron, what else can you tell us about your shocks? Slingmods only offers one spring version. Do you offer different spring rates for varying driver/passenger/weight loads?

We prototyped various spring rates with light to medium to very heavy dual riders on a fully loaded RT pulling a trailer. We found a spring rate that works well in all cases once adjusted for weight.

These shocks have adjustable spring preload and a single point, easily adjusted clicking wheel which changes compression and rebound valving in the correct proportions together at the same time. This means the rider can find their sweet spot without having to know how shock dynamics work. Of course, we have worked closely with JRi who felt from the beginning that with their design, a single spring rate would work well for everyone. So, at present, there appears to be no need for a different spring set.

We are now beginning to work on rear shocks.
