Bell Rogue Helmet

Does anyone here have the Bell Rogue Helmet? If you do, I'm just curious what your opinion is? I've read reviews, and there are a lot of 5 stars. This isn't a post about whether a full face is better. I have an Arai full face, and was just looking for something to wear around town. While at the Harley store I saw the helmet, and it caught my eye because it looks different, just as the Spyder did when I purchased in 2008.

You should look at the Bell Pit Boss Helmet. It is adjustable and the shield is great.

I just looked at the Bell you mentioned. But, I really like the looks of the nose piece on the Rogue. I know others may find it looks strange. Thanks

I had a Rogue for about a year and sold it. I'm not knocking the quality, but it just didn't fit my noggin just right. Seemed there was a pressure point on the right side of my forehead that would start to hurt after awhile. Other than that it was fine. I would up going to a 3/4.

Took one look, that is about the ugliest POS for a helmet I've ever seen and I like Bell stuff. I use a Bell Star full face.

Wow!

That is about all I can say about Sam Mac's post.....wow! If you don't agree with someone else's choice, maybe we should just keep it to ourselves. That is one reason I don't post much on this forum because I really don't need to be criticized for asking an honest question.

I don't think it's time to go negative and start posting harsh opinions about how people look or if one helmet is OK or not OK for someone to wear. It is not the role of this forum to push intimidation on people who have different opinions. I'm very glad for this form to learn more about my Spyder and accessories. I believe we can offer different opinions without causing hurt feelings or using derogatory language.

Great helmet!

I just purchased the Rogue. I have the Shoei Neotec full face modular, but, as you, wanted something a little lighter , to wear around town during the South Florida summer. I also got the Biltwell Overland goggles that fit nicely. I personally love the look and fit of the helmet. It is not vented but the open face allows air to get inside. Hope this helps.

If you're looking for something less confining than a full face helmet, look at the Arai CT-Z. Its cheekpieces extend further forward, for more protection than a regular 3/4 helmet. Kinda looks like an old Spartan helmet, IMO.

They also make the Arai XC with less bells 'n whistles.

Lke all Arais, they're pricey.

Bell Helmet

It's always a difficult decision when it comes to helmets. I personally think Bell has always made good affordable helmets. For short local Spyder runs or putsing around town I use a 3/4 Bell Mag Series 8 helmet.
For longer trips or Freeway driving I use our Shark Evoline 3 Helmets. They are full face modular helmets, but the chin bar flips all the way over to the rear of the helmet to make an actual 3/4 helmet. It's a great and useful design, and has fighter style built in sun visor.
Bought a pair of these Evoline helmets from Chromeburners for under $600 to the front door.
I recommend you check these out. I'm beyond impressed with the quality and fit, and I thought the price was affordable.

Offended AGAIN!

It'll probably improve your looks.

Good grief it was said in jest for goodness sakes.

I'm not sure where the personal criticism is, Boilermaker. Sam has just expressed his own opinion about the Bell. You can take it or leave it, but how you can construe it as a personal criticism is difficult to understand. I always like to hear differing opinions to help make a call.

I have the Rogue an I also got it for the looks. It is a comfortable helmet with good protection. I took a nasty crash with a half helmet not the Rogue and the only thing I had broken was my ankle. I tell what it will turn heads.

I have a Pit Boss that I wore when I had my Harley. I liked it. Some people complain it makes your head look huge. I haven't used it in forever and go Shoei ff now with my track pants, boots, etc.

My sentiments also...

My sentiments also. Sorry to be off topic, I have been on here since 2011 also.

I like the Schuberth S2.

Rogue Helmet

I have had the Rogue Helmet for a while now. I struggle to find the right eye wear. i.e. Glasses or Goggles. Neither see to give me the comfort I am looking for in protections. When i go over 75mph the muzzle forces space between my glasses and my eyes water. For Goggles, it doesnt look as cool lol!

If you are going to purchase this helmet go one size up. I normally wear a large but i should have bought a XL. It is a bit tight in cold weather gear.

For now I will stick with Shoei RF-1200.

I would never recommend anything less than a full faced helmet. One face plant even at slow speeds and you spend the rest of your life looking like the Elephant Man.

Many urban riders like modular helmets. Bell sells a nice one.

I purchased the Bell Revolver Evo and I absolutely hate it. It is noisy, I had to mount my SMH10 further back on the left side of the helmet, which makes it hard to reach. It also gives me a headache and a sore spot on the top of my head after about an hour. I even put a different liner in it that I got from Bell, and it did not really help that much. I DO NOT recommend this helmet.
