There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. I'm sitting here watching Skyfall and was trying to determine who the best Bond actor is/was.

  • Sean Connery
  • George Lazenby
  • Rogor Moore
  • Timothy Dalton
  • Pierce Brosnan
  • Daniel Craig

Sean Connery with Roger Moore second. I thing both these guys did the best with the gadgets that Q came up with.

Cupaca/Ticketbait,

I was going only for actors who played 007 in the official EON production series of the Bond series.

I voted for SC. Watched four Bond movies this weekend during the Bond a Thon. It is intereresting to note how the films have progressed from their inception, as to how Bond was featured. Now it's all flames, damage, and body counts.

I'm a huge Bond fan but I didn't like Roger More in the roll, he played it for laughs and too camp. I like Roger More in The Saint, wished he'd had played it that same way. Sean Connery was my favorite with George Lazenby a close 2nd. A recent documentary Roger More stated that he never took the role seriously and played it for laughs.

However Bond films are all great and worth watching.

Wasn't he brought in to fill the spot while Sean Connery was contractually obligated to another part in another film? :dontknow:

George Lazenby (1 Bond Film)

Date of birth: September 5th, 1939
Place of birth: Goulburn, Australia
Birth name: George Robert Lazenby
Fun fact: Having done only one James Bond movie, George became actually a metaphor for something forgettable: “It was a mistake, like casting George Lazenby as 007″
Times he played 007: 1 time
George Lazenby’s 007 movies:

1. James Bond: On Her Majesty’s Service

Release: 1969
His age at release: 30
Salary: £50,000
Fun fact: In the original take of the final scene featuring Tracy’s death, George Lazenby came to tears. Director Peter R. Hunt then made them shoot the scene again because he said that, “Bond does not cry.” (source: IMDB)

Both Connery and Craig are more like the Ian Fleming character, darker, rough around the edges, a bit more cold and calculating. The Moore / Dalton / Brosnan characters were too polished and as mentioned, campy.

Snce David Niven isn't even on the list, I voted for Pierce Brosnan.

i disagree about Brosnan. I think he gave a much darker portrayal than Moore to Dalton. I haven't seen the Craig movies yet.
