• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

best dealer to buy new RT-S need help

Bought my RS at Pro Cycle in Bend - nice break-in ride home, and they have a sister dealership in Longview - I enjoyed working with them. Cat & Vaughn swear by the Medford dealer, but I don't know anything about them, personally.

I bought my RT through a dealer in NH, and had it shipped - worked well, and went w/o a hitch - took about 10 days to get out here.

There are some great deals on E-bay & Cycle Trader from dealers in the North and from Florida - prices around $22500 for a new '11 A/C SE5 - add $1K for shipping, and you're still over $1K below Portland's outfit. (I'll keep my comments about them to myself). If it were my check, I'd get a firm price from one of the Eastern dealers, add $1K for shipping, and go twist the arms of the Bend & Medford dealers…. you'll note who I left out….

thks for your info

thks for info you are right about PDX dealer but let me know if anyone knows also on best dealer to buy.thks

Looking for opinions on the best dealer is like asking for the type of oil to use. You will get lots of responses, but not sure how much good it does since we all have different levels expectations. I hope you can find a good deal - I just bought my RT-S from Elk Grove Powersports (California) and paid a little over invoice.
You may want to specify what you're looking for - i.e. Price, friendliness, etc..

:agree: I bought my Spyder from a dealer that i over the years [83 to 2010] I bought At least 25 machines from, But after the Spyder, him the Spyder and me,
parted ways. I think working on the Spyder just took too much away from his other bikes. [Waiting for parts from brp]
The moral of this you never know when a dealer you trust will let you down.
:dontknow:

Dealer

I got mine from Del Amo motorsports and got a great deal, delt witha guy named J.B. I drove about 800 miles round trip to get it. But before I drove there I called every dealer in Calif. They are in Redondo beach.

I suggest that you call or email Caswell's cycle in Mora Minnesota. The salesmen is Jamie Koch. They gave me a good deal on a 2011 RT-S. I have shipped bikes from the west coast for $815. All the information about Caswell's is on the web.

BEST Dealer in the Northeast !

August 26, 2011

I purchased my 2011 Spyder RTS/SE5 from "East Coast Cycle Center, Bensalem, Pa." They are a top notch dealer. They also get lots of trade-ins as earlier Spyder owners want to trade up to the new RTS/SE5's. I started with the RTS and am glad I did. I know that if I bought the RS, I would not have been happy since I love the touring position and anything else hurts my back and tingles the base of my spine. I had a slight crack on my left speaker grille, which I noticed a few weeks after my purchase. They ordered a new one that came in a week later and installed it for free. Great Service and GREAT people. They are very knowledgeable about the Spyders, and also carry many other brands also. I have never seen more used cycles anywhere, and I mean anywhere.
