• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Big "E" showed up this morning.

While stopped at an intersection this morning looked down and noticed the "E" instead of "1' on the gear indicator lamp. The "N" and 'R' indicators were flashing rapidly. Drove a short distance. Felt like I had only 1st gear. Stopped, hit shift paddle up & down, felt & sounded like it was shifting but wouldn't move. Shut it off, waited 10 minutes restarted & all was fine. Drove it home with no problem.
Is this the start of a bigger issue? Its a 2013-RTs, 3900+ miles. It goes into the shop tomorrow for the new recall and some other fixes.
I have a 40 mile ride to get there. I'm considering riding it but wonder if I should have it towed.
As always, thanks in advance for the great advice & knowledge of the members here.

It sounds like a problem with the gear position sensor, or a communications fault. You should be fine to ride as long as the warning doesn't continue. Your dealer will probably see it on BUDS, but be sure to tell him.
