• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. I have a RT - S SE5 2010 Model - One of the first sold in the UK

Since ownershiip there has been very little growth in the UK Market - BRP Don't run any advertising campaigns and with only
6 Dealers in England 1 in Scotland the dealers get very little support

In Nov - Dec this year there is a Major international Motorcycle show held at the NEC Birmingham
see link :-

http://www.motorcyclelive.co.uk/

BRP are not listed as attending and I contacted them to see what the current situation is ref BRP Can-Am

This was their reply

Morning Eddie,

Thanks for your email.

I’m afraid that BRP-Canam will not be at the show this year as far as we know.

Kind Regards,

Gina

With the new ST due next year - It looks like BRP is not pushing it for the UK Market - It would have been great to see it at
the show

Some of us UK Spyder owners were considering attending the show to not only view the new ST but to also show our support
for the BRP Spyder - With BRP not attending we will not be going - So the UK Public miss out again

Please BRP Help us to help you - Excellent product - Crap backup support

As far as we know, makes it sound like they have a distributor in the UK? If that's the case and they don't have any 2013's. They wouldn't have anything NEW to display.

Just a thought, cause :dontknow:

Perhaps they're pulling out because of France's proposed 75% income tax on the supposed wealthy?

Chris

see above VERMONT VS ENGLAND

Vermont as 9,615 square miles including water.

England is about 50,346 square miles.

Louisiana is about the closest at 51,843

BTW thats just England, if your interested.

Scotland is an additional 30,415 square miles

Wales is a further 8,018 square miles

and Northern Island 5,452 Square miles

Making the United Kingdom a total 94,525

I remember when the top rate was 90% in the USA, And the capital Gain tax was close to that.
And i remember when they lowered them, That's when in the early 60,s the economy started to boom.

Thats really funny Harry.the comparison is about equal to an Ant and an Elephant in this case Vermont being the Ant.Suggest you supply the population figures for both as well.:roflblack::roflblack::(:roflblack::roflblack::roflblack:

Mercy me!!!!! Riding mountains is stress??????
Chris

most of the european companies make their tests here in the alps - sometimes I see some black-taped vehicles with some rong brand-stickes on it ..

the spyder is OK for that - did 30.000 mls till now (with the new steering- new Rt shocks) - but the people still think I`m a BMW testrider..;)

Yup, I figure that if you steamrolled British Columbia ( a Canadian province) I could just about ryde to Japan, lol. Stress? Baloney! I live for the twisties!

I eliminate the stress from hills, By taking the roads my Father took to school when he was a kid,
I just do it backwards so,

I'm going Down hill both ways. :roflblack:

Oh yes and in 4 feet of Snow also.:ohyea:
