• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB radio antenna problem-SWR too high

I have installed the OEM CB radio and antenna. When I try to set the SWR with the meter, I get a reading above 3.0 on channel 1 and above 2.5 on channel 40. I cannot get the reading on either channel to drop to the acceptable level of 1-1.5. I have tried to lengthen with washers, but the needle reads the same. I have removed the OEM antenna and installed the antenna from my car (which I know I get an SWR reading of 1.2) but I get the same SWR reading from both channel 1 and channel 40 (above3.0 and 2.5) Does anyone know if there is an adjustment within the radio that could help solve this problem. These readings will damage the CB if it is used. :dontknow:

Thanks for any comments or assistance.
