• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

CB Radio Update

:) Yesterday, I received an update from my dealer. BRP released a PAC Bulletin on 6/4/14 that applies to model years 2013 and 2014 (with CB installed or to be installed) only, for possible limp home mode triggered by the CB while transmitting due to incorrectly shielded CAN wires in entertainment and CB harnesses. The bulletin (#2014-3) lists the solution, parts required, and that the dealer submits a warranty claim to BRP. My dealer ordered the parts (CB communication kit, Entertainment harness) and the parts showed in stock at BRP. Was advised the job will take 3 to 4 hours.

Good Luck! I hope it goes well... I'm waiting on mine too, but make sure it's the new part before you go to the dealer. Verify over the phone, that it is the new part number.

I say this because I purchased my 2014 RT-S in April and was told the CB was on back order. So I have been patiently waiting for the new one to come out and to take the bike back to have it installed. I was surprised when my dealer called me last week and told me it was in stock. We had a weekend trip planned to Acadia that Saturday and the timing seemed perfect, the new CB just before we went away. The dealer said they could install the part that Thursday, so I made the appointment and took a vacation day to get it done. I drove to the dealer 2 1/2 hours away. After waiting for 3 hours, I finally got up and asked how it was going. They informed me they were working on it, but ran into a "wiring" issue. Right then I started to think something was wrong... about an hour later, the service manager came out with the recall paper and tried to tell me the CB was recalled. No Crap! That's why I have been waiting for over a month already, they tried to install the recalled CB in my RT-S... I was not a happy camper.

The moral of my story is to double check, just make sure its the right one before you drive there...

Also, no one go to my dealer (Two Jacks Cycle in Wilkes-Barre, PA ), they also installed the old Front Trunk Release and button on my RT-S (it's blue) and sticks out like a sore thumb when all of the other buttons are orange. They tried to charge me $100 for another kit and new button when I said I wanted it replaced to the new 2014 one that matches my Spyder. It's the one I ordered, its the one I should have gotten...

Sorry for venting, but I've been holding it in for too long, lol...
