Chat Link

I seem to always go into the chat room link just to see if anyone is in there to talk to.. We do this on the "ALL AERO" forum on my other Motorcycle forum and it seems to work really good with us. We try to meet in the Chat Areana at 7:00 PM on Sunday nights... I would really like to see how many people have actually tried to use this function? If you are interested I will plan on being in the chat link at 7:00 tonight for a test to any members.. Again, this is information that we can share instantly... If you have never used a chat session before there actually pretty cool...

So therefore lets try one..

We (dltang and I) used to use this quite a bit more than what we do now. The thing that worked good for us or any others wanting to chat was to put a post in the General Discussion forum saying "I'm in the chat room now until ... whenever" and just wait for people to join in. Magic Man, lamonster and others will generally pop in for at least a few minutes to see what's up and shoot the breeze.

Next time start a new post with a title something like "I'm in the chat room now" and you might need to give folks a bit more than 15 - 20 minutes. I saw the post and might have joined but I had to get through a few more posts. As I was coming to the last new post, I see you've left already. Keep setting up chats and they'll start to gain in popularity. They've been so infrequent lately, it might take a time or two for them to catch on again.

Whos in the chat room

Hey Lamont, would it be difficult to put a little "whos in the chatroom box" on the Forum pages. That way we could see whos in the chatroom while we are reading and posting. Its probably a PITA to do. Just an idea.
