I took our Spyder to the graphics folks to apply my new trunk wrap this morning and when it was finished I turned the key on and it looked like a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on the Starship Enterprise on the dash and the gauges were flapping up and down. What a show and then unable to do anything with the machine. We have 5,600 miles and had it since the end of April. Anyway, I was in Bentonville and the dealership is in Springdale and I was stuck inside the shop of the graphics folks.
Anyway, I call Braford Marine and it is lunch time, so no technicians around. Thirty minutes later and a technician is on the phone to me and we chatted a bit and he decided to bring the BUDS computer, starter battery and his trainee technician and trailer in tow. They found several faults, a blown 5 amp fuse for the ECM, a shorted wire to the TPS, and a loose battery cable under the seat. Anyway, they had it torn down to parade rest and could not get the TPS fault to clear and towed it into the shop. No spare part in stock, so it has to be ordered in and expected to be repaired on Friday. Also, happy that the shorted wire did not show up out in the middle of nowhere when I could not get such a quick response and service.
I am very pleased with the quick response and personal service from Bradford Marine in Springdale. I have my fingers crossed to be able to make the ride on Saturday in Branson with the MoGang.
Off topic, but the graphics look fantastic. The shop that applied the graphics suggested some really neat stuff that they can do to finish the job with waving flag extensions on the rest of the machine. We'll be doing that this winter when their shop is slow.
