• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

All Kleer Windshield Cleaner works really well and is priced good.

Plastic Windshield Cleaner & Polish For Airplanes
All Kleer was invented by a pilot over 25 years ago for cleaning and maintaining plastic aircraft windshields that require absolute clarity.
All Kleer is different than most windshield products on the market as it not only cleans dirt, bugs and grease but leaves a very fine, slick finish. This finish helps to repel water, dust, bugs, and water spotting - making it easier to see and to clean the next time. All Kleer contains no wax, ammonia, or abrasives and does not require the use of any water. A non-pressurized leak proof 8oz bottle is designed to be carried on board if desired.
Simply apply All Kleer with a clean towel to a dry windshield cleaning off any bugs and dirt and allow 30-60 seconds for a haze to form. After it has completely dried, wipe off with a clean towel and feel the All Kleer finish.
Owners of airplanes rely on All Kleer to keep their plastic windshields free of dirt and grime, on the ground and up in the clouds. The super-slick "miracle finish" left by All Kleer makes it harder for any foreign substances to adhere to the plastic.

  • Cleans- Dissolves grease, bug residue and other substances…. fast! Simplifies airplane maintenance.
  • Polishes - Nothing sticks but the shine… and improved vision. You can see and feel the difference!
  • Repels dust - Super-slick finish doesn't allow dirt and dust to accumulate. Makes cleaning easier the next time!
  • Safe - No ammonia, wax or abrasive. No water needed.
  • Convenient - Non-pressurized 8 oz. size bottle with no-leak top is perfect to carry onboard the aircraft.
  • Helps Inhibits Fogging - Unique Finish Helps inhibit fogging. Create a zone of clear visibility

Problem Solved

Put a bounce dryer sheet in a pail of water let sheet soak a minute or two until sheet is soft to the touch.

Body panel, windshields, chrome all clean up to new.

Bounce sheet should have no additives, I use outdoor fresh bought at costco.

Harley guy told me this method.

It is sooooo easy to get those bugs off. let the chemicals in the sheet do the work, not a strong arm approach

I have recently found that bamboo fiber cloths are excellent for cleaning clear plastic. They are very soft and leave no streaks. They are slightly fragile, but otherwise work well and wash up nicely.

Old dryer softener sheet in some soapy water works to get the heavy bug spatter off

at the motel with a follow up of clear water rinse and buff with a clean microfiber towel. Then clean/polish with some Novus Spray cleaner/polish with a clean cloth or handkerchief.

At home soaking with a warm soapy towel draped over the shield for 10 minutes works good, then clean/polish with the Novus and a microfiber towel, followed by Mequiers PlastX polish and then a final coat of good ole Pledge to make the bugs slide off easier at the road stops. Your method or mileage may vary, but the dryer cloths and clean microfiber towels stay stocked in the frunk for the road trips on our bikes.

From Don Frank at F4 Customs

You folks are right the F4 windshield is a whole different animal in replacement windshields. We are chemically sealed and highly scratch resistance.
Years ago I was so frustrated after purchasing a new windshield and then after several months having scratches (no matter how careful I was) that I wanted to do something about it. We wanted clarity, high scratch resistance, rain shedding and a shield that would not break or crack if you got into an accident. So that is how F4 Customs came about. The name came from our last name Frank and four members of our family.
Thanks for all that have believed in us over the last 10 years. We have continued to grow every year and it is all because of folks like you.
Don

I have a 2016 F3 Ltd "Triple Black" so I have to be careful with the mat-black areas.

I use "Non-Ammonia" windex for the shield and quick touch-ups of the whole bike.

For bug splats, nothing works better than a wet dryer sheet. Takes them off with no scrubbing (little trick I learned from RVing).

I also have a Black 2013 F6b with their notoriously soft paint and I use the same products on both.

I have used Pledge for years to clean my eye glasses, wind shield and my entire bike. Just let it sit on the wind shield for a few minutes, and the bugs come right off. I think it works great on any plastic or leather surface. I don't use it on my Seal Floorboards because it tends to make the vinyl too slick. I always use a micro fiber cloth to clean and polish.
Ride in comfort
