There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. Comfort Seat Question?

Has anyone found that the new comfort seat has a slight forward pitch, in comparison to the stock seat?

I haven't noticed any pitch difference with about 10 hours on the new seat, but the new comfort may be masking any other issues.

It may be flatter, but it certainly doesn't seem to slope forward. My BMW does that, and the difference is quite obvious. You do sit on it and not in it as you do with the softer, stock seat. Maybe that's what you noticed.

I did notice the forward pitch initially, but later added 2" risers and it is not as noticeable now. It still doesn't have the comfort that I expected, there again, I've been spoiled by the Ultimate seats on my last Valkyrie.

I second that! I added the Comfort Seat and noticed a slight forward pitch, but not as bad as the stock POS. Then, added the 4" risers. Zoowie...what a difference! No leaning forward, no pitching forward, just right.

I still have my '01 Valkyrie Interstate trike with the Ultimate seats. There name says it all.

Stay tuned. I touched base with Dez a year ago about the Spyder... Lamont just did again in the last month or two.

I hear rumors of an Ultimate for the Spyder in the next few months.

Yeah, sure, of course...I just added the Comfort Seat!

I've been riding the Ultimate seat for about six years on my Valkyrie. Then, last month, I got the Spyder. I'm really glad to see them come into the Spyder market. There is definitely room for them, and I'm sure I will eventually end up (pun intended) with one on my Spyder.

WHAT IS THE ULTIMATE SEAT? :dontknow:

The Ultimate Seat Company. They started out making seats for Honda Valkyries. I've had the rider/passenger seats and backrests by them for about 6 years on my Valk trike. They make an outstanding product, I'm glad to hear they may start making them for the Spyder.

I rode to LA (1300mi) with the stock seat and back home with the comfort seat, with 2 up.. I have NMN 4 in risers. To me the comfort seat did not force me forward as bad as the stock seat did. Also it was massivley more comfortable. We did 130 mile stretches between gas stops. Our butts still got sore, but not nearly as soon as on the ride down.

Draboo,

That's great to hear. I think the Comfort Seat is going to work out for me too.

We might be riding up to see friends in Mt. Vernon this fall. Perhaps we could meet up for a Starbucks.

I hate my seat. With that said. I took off my Harley FLHTC seat witch is very comfortable. And took it along with the spyder seat to a upholsterer who has been doing custom interiors and bike seats for years. I told them that I wanted to sit back in the seat and not be sliding forward on the spyder anymore. Also, put at least 2" of foam around the sides of the seat for my legs, raise the back rest up to about a 90*. Good support so I won't slide back when I twist the wick. They told it would be finished tomorrow. My spyder seat felt like I was riding on a 2x4 and sliding forward and back.:gaah: I guess the guy who was testing the seat for cam-am weighted about 100 lbs. I hope my design works.

Nice, lets see the finished seat, after you break it in! :yikes:

I hope that Des can fit a Spyder seat into his schedule, he now supplies seats for way more bikes than just the Valkyrie.

I've just finished back to back 350+ mile days and the comfort seat is getting better. That, or my arse has lost all feeling. I've got another 3 days of 300+ miles and a final 450 mile day. I'm hoping the numbness stays for a few days longer. One thing that does make riding more comfortable is the new sway bar. It makes steering easier and allows sharper turns with less body movement. A very good investment.
