Could this be the Starter Relay/Solenoid? Where is it located on a 2016 RT?

Hello I have a 2016 RTL when I go to start it it will click and turn over hard, I do have a new battery and checked the voltage and made sure the terminals were clean and tight. I’m wondering if it could be the starter relay/solenoid and where it is located on my machine. I’ve seen by the battery under the seat but my battery is in the frunk. And advice would be appreciated

You checked the connections on the battery are clean and tight, but did you check the other end of the cables? Make sure the frame connections clean and tight also! Have you had the battery LOAD tested? Just checking it with a meter will not tell you what it's doing under load, it may be falling on its face!

Can you clarify what you mean by "it turns over hard". Is the motor actually turning over?

Definitely check that all the cables are tight. Ground cables can get rust. Everything must be checked and cleaned. Also the battery needs to be 'Load Tested'. Most auto parts store can do this for Free. Auto Zone does it for Free.

Now if all goes well the bike might start. Because a low battery can kill the starter. If you are able to perform these steps do them. Or have a tech do the job.

It starts but it was just barely cranking before it started. I’m going to pull battery for a load test, the battery is only a year old.
I have it on a tender now.

With a $10 multimeter you can check voltage while cranking without pulling the battery. My 2014 RSS cranks at as low as 9V, but you want 10-11.

We have herd this same sort of issue reported MANY times on here, and I would give a dead battery has been the issue 90% of the time! Don't care if it's 2 years old or less, a load test is the first thing to go for!!! Good luck!!!
