It does looks really nice. But, I wonder how long it will be before it starts peeling off. Paint doesn't adhere very well to flexible textured surfaces.

Looks nice, but I prefer simple primary colors like my GM Victory Red that I used to paint over my OEM Can Am "red".

Is that aqua and purple? He must be a fan of the NBA's Charlotte Hornets?

I wondered that same thing. There is a guy and his wife, both Ryker riders, I follow on Youtube. He is going to get his wife Ryker custom painted later this month. The shop owner told him pretty much the same thing. The owner told him a lot of the areas he wanted to get painted would not hold the paint because of the texture of the plastic panels.

If they added the flex additive to the paint then it should be fine. Most cars and trucks with plastic body bumper covers are painted the same color as the car and they do fine. EXCEPT when they see some heavy trauma like an accident, then you will see some cracking and peeling.

Has anyone attempted automotive "wrap". That would be interesting, and if it sucked or got torn off, peel it off back to stock.

I wonder too about textured surfaces - you need to use some kind of a primer with the right adhesion characteristic for the plastic. Of course, you'd lose the texturing with enough primer too.

There are wraps for the Ryker. Slingmods and Lamonster are a couple places that carry them.

Typical thickness of car paint is around 4 mils (.004") so I don't think it would lose the texture too much.
