• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dash cam recommendations please

I have the Innovv K5 and love it. Previously had the K2. It's now on the F3 in the background!

The middle photo shows the included microphone and the switch to lock in a segment so the video cannot be overwritten. The front camera/main body shows an aftermarket lens protector that is available from an individual on the Innovv forums on their website.

where and how did you mount it

There's one example from Jetfixer just a few posts up from yours.

This is the one I have. Takes very clear video. I simply remove the microSD memory card if I want to download video. It says you can use the wifi to download to your phone, but I have not had luck with that. It is all waterproof. I simply lay the main screen inside next to the airbox. Works perfectly and never had an issue.

Hello, I was just about send that same link! We bought 2 of these for our 2020RT's, starting the install today. Glad to hear it's working out well for you. Ken

I'm trying to decide on a system to provide me with cameras for front and back (skip the jokes. I want to record for travel videos, not see at the moment.) I see several systems on Amazon, but I have wants:

1. a screen larger than my phone
2. a unit capable of getting hotter than an iPhone.
3. One that will play maps created on the iPhone, thus CarPlay compatible.
4. Waterproof.

Any relevant feedback will be appreciated.

So what you are after is an iOS compatible device that happens to also functions as a dashcam?

I have no idea about how compatible with iPhones they might be, but there are a number of Garmin GPS units with the facility to add Front & Rear cameras (available from Garmin as 'additional cost' add-on accessories, TPMS too) that also allow BlueTooth connections with your phone &/or the downloading & playing of music etc. It sounds very much to me like a fully accessorised Garmin GPS might be just what you're after - but then there are those other, 'not quite so expensive', previously mentioned units too!?! :dontknow:

Good Luck in your Search

Some of the Carpuride bundles seem to fit your requirements, as they come in various screen sizes, and with front and rear cameras.

I too have a VSYSTO system. Had it on my K1600 GTL and moved it to my RT. Mounted cameras the same place Jetfixer did and the small screen with SD card are in the frunk behind the carpet lining. Don’t need to view screen to see what’s recording. Battery connection is made to the Fuseblock I have to wire in accessories. Has WiFi connection so you can bring up your video to watch should you want. Pictures are very clear and or course cameras are waterproof. Great system for not a lot of money.

I have a '17 RL and have fitted a Thinkware M1. The cameras are larger than most other brands, something I like because people see them, know they might be recorded and behave accordingly

I made a small aluminium bracket that mounts the front camera just below the windshield lowest position, and the rear on the Left Side of the top box. Recorder sits nicely under the seat. Cable lengths are good and it was easy to wire up. I use a TP7AS Bypass relay for my trailer so just added the camera to the running light circuit so that its on when the ignition is on. Footage is pretty clear, can pull number plates easily.

No interest in a display, too busy riding and dodging idiots :) Perhaps those with an ego might find them useful

I'm not interested in watching the video while driving but a larger screen for maps.

I have the INNOVV N1 Navigation & Camera System on my F3. Bluetooth and WiFi. It has both front and rear cameras and it is Apple Car Play and Android compatible. It also has a tire pressure monitor (two-wheel motorcycle type - I have them on my two front). Works very well.
It is a bit pricy at around $338 or so. They have a sale on now. https://innovv.com/
