• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have real info on when we can expect to see 2024-25 Service Manuals?

Long shot to find out about the manuals, would a 2023 manual be about the same
or is there a lot of difference??

Just looking on E bay, '24 '25 workshop manuals are for sale on cd rom and
will cost me $43. $18 delivery charge is a lot, considering there's hardly any weight.

The 2024 Spyder RT Repair and Maintenance Manual is available now from:

US $24.50

I looked at several eBay listings for manuals on CD-ROM and some on USB drives.
None of those I looked at claimed to be an actual CAN-AM service manual, which suggests they're going to be very generic.

That download would not be any good to me, I wouldn't be able to open it.
I've got lots of down loads on my PC, but can't open any of them.

I'm not good with a PC, can't even transfer pics from my phone to the PC.

And I can't see that ever changing, now that I'm in my Eighties.

I don’t think they make them of paper anymore, maybe someone you know can download it for you and set it up. It’s a simple PDF file, any computer can handle that.

I could use a CD ROM - pdf files don't work for me, I have not got a clue what they are!

Don't sell yourself short Keith.

If you want the technical description, PDF simply stands for "Portable Document Format", so a pdf file is the file format used to copy, move/transfer, and present documents in a way that maintains their formatting across different devices and software. But at it's simplest, a pdf file is basically just an 'identical copy' of the original document/file, so that you can just click on it and it opens as an exact copy of the original. If you can use a mouse or cursor to click on a button like 'post reply'; or a thread name to open a thread; or the file name listed in a post as an attachment; then you can open a pdf file. ;)

That's not to say it'll necessarily be easy for you to find anything on/in a pdf file of a Service Manual, as there's usually little in the way search capability or any other functionality attached to them - they are usually just plain 'pictures' or duplicates of whatever the original document was, so you'd hafta manually scroll &/or page up/down to move around it and peer at the picture (it might even just be a 'picture' of text, as well as pictures or schematics of parts etc!) to find whatever you want to know. So you are probably correct in that a CD ROM would be more useful to you - but if you're here and posting on the Forum, you're already doing far more complex things than opening a pdf file! (y)
