• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Extra brake return spring ..?

Need a little help please.
Been using the search function with various word combinations, but, cannot find the photo's I know I've seen before, where one of you guys added an extra return spring to the brake pedal.
IIRC .. A washer was used, with a small hole drilled in it for the spring. Then the spring was stretched to a point on the exhaust ??

Any help would be really appreciated, thanks.

I remember the picture!
The spring was hooked to a washer (As you've described.), and the spring was brought forward, and hooked to where the exhaust pipes hooked to the header. :2thumbs:
(And I can't find my copy of the dang picture! :opps:)

From Lowes hardware store. did not attach it to the exhaust, stay on the same side as the brake to avoid a whistling effect.

Big "thank you" to you all :D:D
I've gleaned a host of information from this forum -- love it.

And Bob, what did you type into the search function to recover the link ?

stillriding did all of the heavy lifting in this endeavor...
I just followed his excellent lead...
I looked up SpongeBob2015, and found the list of threads that he had started, and looked it up; based upon the dates and thread title.
