There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. F3T needing a Clutch replacement - any help appreciated

Hey fellow riders,

I'm looking for help tracking down a clutch pack for my 2016 Can-Am Spyder F3T. My current clutch has gone out, and when I went to the dealership to order a replacement, the part showed up as "not sold as a spare". Pretty frustrating since I've just finished paying the bike off earlier this year and would love to keep it on the road.

Has anyone:
  • Successfully sourced a clutch pack (OEM or aftermarket) for a 2016 F3T?
  • Rebuilt their clutch using Aftermarket Assassins, EPI, Dalton, or any other kit?
  • Found any cross-compatible parts from other BRP models?
Any leads on:
  • eBay sellers
  • Salvage yards
  • Trusted rebuilders
Any help here would be hugely appreciated. I'm open to rebuilding it myself or to having an independent shop handle it, if I can get the right parts.

Thanks in advance - this bike means a lot to me, and I’m determined to keep it alive.

OH MY! I didn't reply to this one because I figured you'd have plenty of info from others. Sorry.

First, your parts guy is a... Well, no, I won't say it. Look at the screenshot below. You have to get the full clutch kit, which is readily available. You can't purchase the components individually. Nor do you want to, in this case.

I do not know of any aftermarket clutch kits for the 1330. There may be some cross fitment from other Can-Am products. But you'd be taking a big chance going that route.

As I've said many times. If you don't know more about your Spyder than the dealership does, you may be in BIG trouble! Should it be this way? No. But that truth will do you no earthly good.

Make sure you get the right clutch kit. There is one for the SE and another for the SM. They are not interchangeable. So, this problem is solved. But you have to wonder, if the parts guy can't find it, will the tech know how to install it? That's another hurdle.

You might consider doing it yourself. It's time consuming, but not rocket science.

Good luck!
