• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

oil and tire 4.jpgTook the plunge and performed my first oil change on the RT. Also rotated the front tires, local shop did it for $20.00 for both. Something I noticed on my Wing was the occasional higher than normal oil use when using a pure synthetic. Shifting was a bit harsher as well. So, for this change, I used the old tried and true Rotella dino oil. Maybe it's my imagination, but I don't think the Spyder has ever been quieter and I think it shifts smoother as well, that is some of the clunks weren't as dramatic.Oh, and in the last few months I been shifting in the 3800 to 4200 K range, and it's rather smoother overall. So, not to risk the threat of an oil thrad, but thanks to BajaRon and WalMart, I have a cleaner, happier Spyder. Oh, before I forget, you would't believe the mung and drool I cleaned up under the engine oil filter. I dropped the cover underneath and it was horrible. No pics, hands were filthy at the time. I wonder if the dealer tech had been changing the filter housing o ring. If not, this one went 16,700 miles. Either way, he won't get the chance again.

Oily to bed, Patrick

Yes

DSCF0367.jpgI removed the wheels from the Spyder, it was up on jacks for the oil change anyway. So, yes, dismount, remount and balance for that stated price. Took a short trip of about 225 mi round trip yesterday and seemed to be a lot smoother. Most of the mirror shake is gone and absolutely no tendency to drift.
Unlike the pilot...
